Put that back! by olvice Put that back! by olvice
After several months it's finally finished! One of the most complex things I've been able to paint. I'm still not satisfied with it completely but I have no further strength to work on it. Already spent too many hours on it. Stopped counting at 20. -__- *headdesk*

This is one of the things about real media I hate most: when you try to finish old paintings and can't remember the color pigments you used so it'd maintain the look and color palette. Oh well...

It may sound crazy but my favorite part was painting the checkered shirt. :)

watercolors, size slightly bigger than A4

Thank you! :) I usually stop counting the time after a few hours, shame on me. But these usually take up to 25 hours.

Anthropology at it's best!(Pun intended.Sorry i couldn't resist that.)
It's so great to see another traditional artist on the DA.I love the
amount of detail in this picture. The colors and shadowing is so amazing!
The atmosphere reminds me of the late 19th to early 20th century when
paleontologists combed the deserts of Utah for the fossils of dinosaurs.:) (Smile)

This is great!  You did a good job on the checkered shirt too. ;-)  Love your color palette, and the way you used it on the rocks especially.  The distant background at far right is particularly pleasing, both mountains and sky.  The whole concept is good and the title really clarifies it for me.  (And my dad likes amateur archaeology so that makes it a bit relevant for me. ;-))

I also appreciate your little comment telling me what media and paper size you used.  I find it frustrating to find something I like and want to learn from but can't figure out the media.
