I Wonder What Happened to Her

"Oh, now she was special. I didn't know I still had this picture... Nina Bellevue, met her freshman year reading poetry on the quad. She didn't a shit about it, of course, but she thought that she might pick up sensitive, romantic types if they caught her leaning on trees and reading poetry. Funny girl. Wild girl, really. We were friendly, hanging in the same circles and such, and she eventually told me that she had this desire - obsession, really - for getting bigger breasts. She figured that college would be the perfect time to start eating like there was no tomorrow, and the breasts would come naturally. Didn't work, obviously, and she finally did the next best thing. More than once. More than twice. This picture was just before graduation after her third operation. I can't even imagine the pain that poor girl's back was under, but she was over the moon with them. Of course, it didn't stop her from talking about going even bigger once we graduated. Hmm... Lost touch with her after that. I wonder if she's still growing..."
