Streets of Kyoto 5

Alternative title that came to mind was into the magic world. I got a serious sense of being inside a Hayao Miyazaki when I looked back on this scene with the children playing beyond the bridge.

So once again I had a chance to go to Japan, my one favorite country in the world.

So what is this?
Another photo from the park like area I and my friend happened to walk into after spending our hard earned money on new kendo equipment near Nijo Castle in Kyoto.
This park still looks to me like it is just a drainage ditch converted to a a park area.
I sure liked it, it gave a different taste to the city I am starting to know.

The guy in the bottom left corner is my friend Trond, trying to make a leaf boat...
