Next year I think I won't have the "finish it the day of, or wait until November to finish it" rule for October prompts.  Maybe then I'll actually finish more than five things.  It doesn't help that I've been busy.

Anyway, here's the first of my catch-up birds after I spent three weeks not finishing anything.  This one was about half finished the day of, so I only had to spend an hour or so to finish it.

This is the Frigate Bird!  The males have really big, red throat pouches and they look so funny!   They spend most of their lives flying, 'cause they're seabirds, and they can go months without landing.  They also don't have waterproof feathers, so they don't usually sit on the ocean like other seabirds can.
