Zinktober: Day 4 Perforate

Don't you just hate it when this happens?

An interesting one, given that I've never drawn a porcupine before (irl or anthro'd). I looked up a few different designs, eventually deciding to go to something more akin to the Zootopian style (with the big nose) rather than something like Ash from Sing. Interestingly, I feel that her design could work more for female porcupines than males (even though the one porcupine we did see was an older lady), in order to help get the sex difference into the design (a strange mysterious power of artists that I, who eshews the long legs and breasts, have no conception over how to master other than to blunder ahead and see what works). Eh, who knows, either way, this design works for the grunge teen I was going for.
