Slick Nick

My October art piece, with more actual focus on colouring and shading. My drawing tablet came with tilt sensitivity function, so I had a go using that with the watercolour brush for brush size, which I feel has promise. Just needs some refinement. Also, after a few previous practices I'd decided that for these watercolour artworks I needed to preplan the light and dark areas before even putting the colour down, putting in the main dark and light areas as I painted in (while also having the colour palate pre-figured out).

And I must say, I REALLY like the effect, even if the real proof will be in a darker/ more lighting and shadow intense piece. Indeed, had I more time there was another old Inktober piece that was a prime candidate for a redraw, though it looks now like it'll have to be November's piece.

Regardless of all that, I'm REALLY proud of this. Really feels like I'm cracking the colouring and shading.
