Jean Stolltan

While pretty much all of my writing is in the Zootopia fandom, I have been thinking about my own IP and doing a bunch of planning work, worldbuilding etc. And that has included asking for some art for a variety of characters. Or, in this case drawing and painting said character myself. (While I got a very nice drawing from a different artist, it didn't quite hit the Zoot-anthro style I was picturing in my minds I, so I chose to have a go myself).

Jean Stolltan is my wolverine boy and probably the most entertaining character I've got penned out. Laid back, open, travelling across the an in many cases untamed world for the sake of travelling... Being in a nineteen-thirties era of technology, the go to inspiration is Hemmingway, but I'm also drawing inspiration from Michael Palin, the youtube channel Bald and Bankrupt, and a few other sources (e.g. Lin Manuel Miranda's portrayal of Lee Scoresby in His Dark Materials). Part of me very much wants him to have a wild and dangerous side, he's normally chill but stick the right substances into him (and he certainly has a penchant for finding them) or leave him with no other choice... And things will get ugly. Bits of inspiration like Jim Morrison pull in to.

Having not started writing him yet, I don't think I've worked out the right balance, but it'll be fun to find out.
