UPDATED June 6, 2014

Though this was NOT in the novelized version, I thought it would be good to include a certain someone in this chapter. Some of you who read the novelized version might know who he is, even if I didn't show his face ;D

Next week will be the return of the two page updates, so no more of this one page stuff. But did you know I'm already on Chapter 7 on the Inkblazers site for subscribed members?
fallen.inkblazers.com

Also, even though I work traditionally, I did have to use a clock face vector because apparently I don't own any screentone of clock faces and I totally flubbed it up when I tried to draw it. So here it is (I can totally see myself using this again, it is very very useful!)

It is! Warning, though; it is very spoilerific, obviously. I stopped updating it when I started working on the comic version, which is slightly different in places, but the bulk of the story is still there despite some changes here and there. It's rough since I never posted the finished edited version (at one point I considered publishing the book), but feel free to take a look if you like!

I'm actually drawing a bunch of scenes with him right now (just started Ch. 7 on Inkblazers) and this might be my favorite scene in all of Vol. 1. I just hope I draw it right, since I am pressed for time.

Writing his dialogue in Japanese for the first time has been a real treat!

The perspective is off all over the place because I got promoted to Premium AND had to make a buffer before I moved, so I didn't really take the time to make sure background elements looked right. That's why the backgrounds in the first half of this chapter are a lot better than they are in the second half. When it rains it pours, and I was busy busy busy!

Bugs no big deal.

In fact just the other day I found a spider. I took a tissue and ever... so... carefully...

..

Burned the house down.

j/k, I take no credit for that joke. XP

Seriously though I love Arma having a moral dillema in killing a bug.

Oh god, my sentiments exactly! I grew up with poisonous spiders everywhere so if I see one inside I will totally freak! I can handle other bugs... (usually)

I won't harm a fly outside my own home, though. That's my policy, heh.

I personally have no problems with bugs or spiders. I simply remove them from my home when I find them (extra caution on certain ones, such as wasps or dangerous spiders). My son has a bad case of arachnophobia but I've been working with him and he's getting better. My wife can't handle bugs at all. A katydid flew into my car last fall and she was in a total panic till I got it out.

But yea, outside the home it's "you leave me alone, I leave you alone" deal.

I don't know what it is, but certain bugs I'm fine with, and certain bugs send me into a rage/panic. Been bit by spiders too many times, I guess, with a friend in elementary who had a flesh-eating reaction to a spider bite and my mom recently had a bite that made her whole right side on her torso black and blue... the jumping spiders will have me crying like a baby. There are bugs that I kill because they annoy me at home-- the kind that fly up into food or in my face, and mosquitos, and then there are bugs I can take outside. Grasshoppers, crickets, roaches, ladybugs, ants, etc. When it gets to be an infestation, though, things are different. Wasps send me into a total panic, and bees never did until a year ago when one flew into my ear randomly and stung the inside of my ear. Sooo painful!

Spiders, wasps, and centipedes are the worst, though. I will panic and totally start crying even at my age, haha.

Yea, I can understand that reaction. (certain) Spiders, Wasps and centipedes are the few type of bugs that can actually hurt us badly. Plus creepy factor.

And my god... stung in the ear! I got stung on the foot last year and it stay red and painful for a week! (I work on my feet so this was pretty bad.) I can't imagine how much that would hurt.

Bug facts I know.
Ants are members of the wasp family.
Ladybugs are not considered true bugs but Lady Beetle doesn't have the same ring. They are also poisonous and vicious predators!

I think a beetle is considered a bug... but they are sometimes called ladybirds and they definitely aren't birds, haha. They eat a lot of pest bugs, though, so as long as I don't find one in my mouth, they are fantastic as far as I'm concerned. Never been bitten by one, either.

Ants do resemble wasps! That explains that, then. I've always really liked ants, though. Probably because I have never had any bad experiences with fire ants or anything. Wasps scare me because they can sting multiple times... at least with bees they can only ever sting once. I like bees in general, but since getting stung I tend to run away from them, heh. It was way more painful than I expected and the swelling didn't go down for days! I still don't know why/how it flew into my ear, but it felt like getting punched when it stung. Getting stung on the foot also sounds extremely painful >_<

YOU HAVE A BEE AND WASP PHOBIA TOO OMG THAT'S SO COOL KNOW. 8D

/creepy geeking

The one time I was stung it was at that really tender spot just where the bottom back of your nose meets the rest of your face. Although I was rather twitchy around both before then, I can't say for sure it hit phobia levels until after that incident.

I have always had phobia-levels of freaking out for wasps. When I was a kid I had night terrors a lot and spiders were the main thing I'd see, but later in life I saw wasps due to retinal fatigue. I saw so many on the job one summer I saw them in my house...

The only phobia I have that surpasses my wasp and spider fears is my fear of monkeys. Not even joking. I have been attacked or harassed by more monkeys than the average 1st world dweller... four separate incidents to date.

Apparently there is a certain order of insects that are considered "True bugs" and it includes Cicadas, Aphids, Stink bugs, and others. Of course with modern slang anything crawly is considered a bug.

Ladybugs are mostly harmless to humans and beneficial for gardens and such. There are some species that feed on plants. If their natural predators populations are low, they can have populations explosions and left unchecked will devastate local crops. And yes, they certainly are not birds. Ladybird is what they are called in the UK and some parts of the US (southern mostly from what I read). The Term Ladybug is actually American in origin.

Yea, I haven't had any problems with Ants other then getting into my food.  There are some Nasty ones out there with powerful Stings such as Fire Ants and the bullet ant (Known for having the most painful sting in the world.) The only ants I would be afraid of are the Siafu or Driver ants. I wouldn't look them up unless you like watching gross fascinating things. They don't Sting (they apparently can but usually rely on their powerful mandibles) but travel in HUGE (like 10-20 million) groups that swarm over everything they encounter. They are a type of army ant. Thankfully they are in Africa.

Yeah, for me I consider arachnids, insects, worms, 'pedes, etc to be bugs. I always thought bug was a general terrestrial invertebrates term.

Ladybird and ladybug are both used where I'm from (Oklahoma), but I always refused to say "ladybird" since it made no sense XD  Kinda like the name of a species of bird called "titmouse"... makes NO sense to me, heheh.

I think leaf-cutter ants are fascinating, but certain species of ants can definitely be creepy. The swarms that can clear the meat off a bovine in under fifteen minutes, or whatever... those kinds are terrifying but fascinating.

I saw a praying mantis for the first time this year and thought it was the coolest thing. It was just chillin' on the sidewalk. I think I watched it for like eight minutes XD Not sure why I'm cool with those kinds of bugs, haha.
