Two-page spreader!! And bam. BAM. Arma's wearing something NOT a hospital gown.
It's a start... haha.

This took very little time to draw but forever to ink, and not so long to screen tone. But oh, the inking... I also took photos throughout the whole process up to scanning, and I plan on putting it together in a step-by-step pictorial I'll post here maybe later in the week.

There are a few changes from the novelized version, for those of you who have read it-- I think she had feathers in the original version, but sometime in the second book I decided they needed to be leaves (and those who have read it will know why that makes sense beyond just the title of this comic) so I adjusted this so it will all match.

Another change is how her Guardian uniform looks compared to the first time I drew it in the comic-- in the first chapter, she very briefly shows part of her transformed self in one or two panels, with her facial markings appearing as well. In that chapter her markings were white and her uniform looked kinda crappy, heh. I think it looks better here, where I kind of reworked what gets toned and what gets inked, and changed what tones I use. I also made her markings black because they didn't look as good as I thought they would white (and they are green in color anyway). I also started drawing her eyes more black than white from the second chapter, and since her eyes are the same color as her marking I thought they needed to be black as well... and I think it looks better, personally.

So yeah. So glad I got this page done, it was a bit of a headache, as are all two-page spreads. I wanted to get this up in time for FaLLEN's birthday, but that didn't happen. Oh well! I have more or less accepted that chapters with battles are going to take me longer to draw.
