PIPLUP/PRINPLUP/EMPOLEON Next up, let's cover the Water Starters of Gen IV, the Piplup line. These are based primarily on emperor penguins, with a little bit of Napoleon Bonaparte in there, as well as Poseidon's trident, and metal on Empoleon's wings matching the hulls of ice breaker vessels. Also Empoleon has wierd little fingers on the insides of its wings for some reason. I don't get it. PIONPI Now that we're finished with the western comics of the Mario series, let's go through and cover our assorted newcomers. We have four this time, one appearing in the regular Mario roster, the other three in the multimedia roster. They are: Pionpi Mushroom King Herman Smirch Dirk Drain-Head Now, Pionpi we have seen before. They are the common enemy appearing in the Chai Kingdom, the fourth world of Super Mario Land based heavily on ancient China. They are little purple zombie creatures dressed in traditional Chinese tunics that would mostly jump forward with their arms extended. In the trilogy of comics centering on Herman Smirch, there was only one Pionpi, and he acted as Tatanga's right hand man, commanding his forces while riding on a Yurarin. He could cast spells of his own, but he could also command the various minions to do his bidding, and that re-contextualizes the character quite a bit. Figuring out weapons and skills for UMHX's X9 gang

UltimateMaverickX's X9 bosses are a beloved staple for Megaman fans on DA and it's often wondered which weapons they'd give. Well, decided to take a crack at it, but I'll give credit where it's due as some have come up with solid ideas!! Glacier Basilisk; X: Cold Snapper, tosses fast falling ice blades that freeze water and can rapid fire. Charged, X becomes much faster and is surrounded by an icy aura Zero: Skating Slash, grants unlimted ground dash, improves his ground dash speed and allows for a icy dash slash attack (dash + saber on ground) Axl: Ice9 Icer, spews icy clouds outward, slow but these have long lasting hitboxes Blight Pollen; X: Pollen Powder; spews out pollen in a widening arc akin to charged Aiming Laser, however it cannot be angled. In the trilogy of comics centering on Herman Smirch, there was only one Pionpi, and he acted as Tatanga's right hand man, commanding his forces while riding on a Yurarin. He could cast spells of his own, but he could also command the various minions to do his bidding, and that re-contextualizes the character quite a bit. UltimateMaverickX's X9 bosses are a beloved staple for Megaman fans on DA and it's often wondered which weapons they'd give. Well, decided to take a crack at it, but I'll give credit where it's due as some have come up with solid ideas!! Glacier Basilisk; X: Cold Snapper, tosses fast falling ice blades that freeze water and can rapid fire. Charged, X becomes much faster and is surrounded by an icy aura Zero: Skating Slash, grants unlimted ground dash, improves his ground dash speed and allows for a icy dash slash attack (dash + saber on ground) Axl: Ice9 Icer, spews icy clouds outward, slow but these have long lasting hitboxes Blight Pollen; X: Pollen Powder; spews out pollen in a widening arc akin to charged Aiming Laser, however it cannot be angled.
