The Making of a Master
Young Terence awoke in terror, in a chilling sweat that dampened the bandages fastened around his head. He dreamt about that horrifying event most every night now.. but tonight was especially bad. It haunted him....The moment he rose from the bed, Vernon's eyes were on him. Terence panted briefly, trying to force the thoughts away. Instead they lingered. Gone still, staring downward, fear washed from his face into a frown. Finally meeting the gaze of his demon companion. They were soon joined by his, the crow demon. The look on his face turned to something indescribable, a mix of controlled rage and something else. Whatever it was enticed the demons. ".....Make sure he does not sleep well tonight either..!" the boy demanded, in spite of not being contracted to the other. "Both of you.." Sebastian, however, did not take offense nor decline. His interest having been peaked. Being the first he'd ever done this, given a command so unmoving and lacked any hesitation. It would seem Vernon was right to invest himself in this boy after all. He saw something in him that he didn't. It was proving to be a promising venture."As you wish ..master." the blonde replied, going to depart. Usually the boy did not like to be left alone. It was different this time.Hugging his knees to his chest loosely until it had all gone quiet. Even the sounds of the night went unheard. His expression remained like that long after they had gone. Eventually turning his head on his knees to look out the window, in the distance where a single grave rested. Staring as seconds slowed. He then pulled his feet off the bed. Gathering his quilt in his arms, he brought it outside. Wrapping himself in it for warmth. Standing before the stone, just staring. Disturbing, as it was freshly dug and yet the soil had already begun to settle. Remembering him, wondering what became of one after death. He had just sent them to torment the man who did this to him, to both of them. The man he was supposed to call 'father'.Lying down over the grave, still covered. He must have nodded off, as the next thing he knew, the two demons were standing over him. A bit dirty from laying on the ground, half asleep he felt himself being lifted and carried back to the cottage
Sneak Peek: The Aftermath (Raelinn x Adrian Scene)
In an abandoned apartment, hidden somewhere deep in what was considered the slums of London, also known to the authorities as the ‘Underworld’, the two attackers from the other night were resting, waiting. After making their escape, but just barely, the two concealed themselves amongst the humans, to lay low and conserve their strength.Lying on the bed in one of the rooms was the wounded male demon, who they had learned his name to be Adrian. His injuries had nearly healed except for his arms, which were still in splints. Whereas his race did heal faster than any human, and a broken bone should have been no problem, Sebastian actually had shattered the bone in several places. If he were mortal, they would have been beyond repair, and he would have lost both his arms. Their encounter proved close to fatal. Never before had they seen the butler react so murderously. Having underestimated the extent of his abilities, it came as a surprise, not planning for his ruthlessness.Lying there, resting his eyes, he was cursed with the inability to sleep. At times like this, he wished he could. Demons were capable of sleep but often than not, didn’t. It became more of a recreational activity than anything.Empty whiskey bottles littered the floor by the bed. His treasured guns set on the weathered looking bedside table next to him. Likely the reason why his arms were what sustained the most damage, so he could not wield them. Soon came a noise of his partner, the female demon known as Raelinn, entering the room. Hearing it Adrian opened his eyes, a light blush across his face, a sign that he was drunk.“How are we feeling today?” The woman asked playfully as she approached the bed. His eyes followed her.“..Numb...” the man replied simply. A slight frown on his features, his expression remained unreadable.“Now whose fault is that?” she said, pointing to the empty bottles. Though she had helped him drink it since he could hardly move his arms.He had been using it to dull the pain. Though demons had a higher tolerance for alcohol, it took several bottles of the strongest kind before there would even show a hint of intoxication. It all depended on the demon.Lifting his arm, she gently ran her fingers along the bone to see how his healing progressed. Still feeling several fragments out of place, she scowled, letting go. “Tsk... damn noble has become more trouble than she’s worth with those two lap dogs guarding her...” referring to how Sabrina was protected by both Sebastian and Vernon. “I should have killed her when we had the chance...” angered by the thought of failing to do so yet again. The man was silent, listening to his partner rant; his mind a little spacey.“They even broke my favorite toy..” She continued, referring to him as a play thing. She then turned to him and smirked. “Are you listening?” Sitting down beside him, she leaned down, stealing a kiss. Almost on reflex, the man responded by kissing her back. He reeked of alcohol, but she didn’t seem to care.Pulling away, she grinned, seeming to have liked the way he kissed her, despite his condition. “I’ll have to remember that for later...” she stated teasingly, pulling on his belt but not undoing it, making a point.“…Hmph…. we’ll make that butler pay... I’ll see to that.” Raelinn was rather confident.“…..How ..d’you plan to-do that?” Adrian asked, his voice slurred ever so slightly, making his American accent stand out more.“You’ll see,” the woman said with a devilish look, a hint at her ill intent. She had a plan.

Chapter 4 – Close-fitting Call
(July 24, 1888)
For three days, Sabrina began to adjust to her new life. As per agreed upon, each morning and night Sebastian came to her room and helped her to get dressed, which would cause her face to light up bright pink, even though he was a perfect gentleman and never once stole a peak. The blindfold was always tied securely around his head, but it didn’t stop her from feeling nervous, as he was able to tie and untie the strings of her dress and corset as if he was doing it without a blindfold. Once she even tried the cloth on, to see if there were any secret thin threads or holes, and never found any. That did relieve some of her anxiety. When she was dressed, he would remove the blindfold and before asking, grab the brush to do her hair. For a man, he did really well with hair styles and without fail, she actually liked his work.
On the third day, once she was dressed and Sebastian left her to prepare breakfast, allowing

(July 21, 1888)
The next morning, Sabrina woke to a soft knocking. Sitting up, she noticed she was still dressed in clothes from the day before. Silently cursing at herself, she got up off the bed and straightened out her attire. However, no matter what she did, it felt like she couldn’t get the wrinkles out. Many people would be amazed she had managed to sleep in her corset and not felt uncomfortable She would need to change before breakfast.
"Lady Sabrina," a male voice called from behind the door.
“Yes?” she called back, frustrated at herself.
“I wish to inform you breakfast is ready, milady.” With that she heard footsteps walking away.
She quickly went to the bathroom to freshen up before going over to the door to grab one of the two packed chests. Opening it, she found the first thing she could to dress in. It took her a short while to undo the strings of her gown and then wiggle her way out. She then

Chapter 2 – Returning Home
(July 20, 1888)
It took nearly a month to make the journey from Ottawa to England. From Ottawa to Halifax, there was a week of travel. Once arriving on the coast, there was a twenty-four hour layover before boarding another ship, which was heading to Europe. That voyage took 15 days. Finally, it was like the dawn of a new day when they approached the shores of London. As the ship cruised toward the land, there were many people waiting on the pier to greet the passengers. Some of the greeters were there to meet up with loved ones. Others were there just to welcome them. Those on board seemed a bit anxious to disembark after such a long journey. Most were actually travelling from Ottawa.
Sabrina took in a long deep breath, stepping off the ship. Seeing the buildings of London was nothing like she ever expected. Yes, she had seen paintings, but they never did justice compared to seeing the real thing. With no memory of ever living there, ever

Chapter 1 - Aftermath
(June 21, 1888)
Hearing quiet noises and feeling herself in a bed, it was quite disorienting for Sabrina Parker. How did she end up there? Too confused on where she was, she opened her eyes to find herself in a relaxing room with lots of pale colours. She couldn't remember what happened or where she was for several moments. As her eyes darted around, she saw she was in the hospital. Well, the place best suited for medical practice. Canada was still very new to fully have everything.
The hospital wasn’t very big and currently only had one floor. There were four designated sections, separated by two wings. The left side was designed for those with not much money, a large room with several beds. The right side was for the wealthy with several private rooms. The centre of the hospital was for the operating area and waiting room.
"What happened?" she asked herself at the same time as someone walked in.
"You were found injured three days ago," a man

*the sentences with tilde are quotations from the manga (english translation from https://mangakakalot.com/manga/kuroshitsuji )*
The first day end. Quite late we felt into our beds and fell rapidly asleep. Late in the night, long after midnight, Lieschen heard a sound that sounded like something shattering. Than fast steps up stairs. Curious she wrapped around her blanket and sneaked on tiptoe out. When she went upstairs and reached the bedrooms, she heard rumble inside out of the guestrooms. Along with it she heard words in a, for her ears, opaque language.
“Prince Soma?” She thought. She also heard him sob, that affected her hard. Then she only heard his voice muffled but one word she understood crystal-clear.
She was wondering very much, so she sneaked to the quarters of the servants, to look into the indian butlers bedroom, but there was no one!
“There’s something shady about it!!” Sh

Chapter 1. Arriving
There some things which seems unforeseen, but seems later mean to be. And some path seems forlorn, but leads to the goal.
It’s a story with some confusions and I want to tell you.
The German Empire in the 19th Century. Here, more exactly in the grand duchy of Hessen do we live, me with my mother and my little sister Elisabeth. Our little town was quite small, rural but quite central and was called in our dialect “Birrekopp”. Wigburg Herman, that’s how I am called, well exactly Wigburg Antonia Inge Herman. On that fact to the fact that my grandfather Wolfgang Herman was very considered and rich because of his trading operations, I was punished with many names, like its common at noble people or those who think they are noble, like my grandfather. Besides he insists as a fervent Richard-Wagner-Fan, that I, the firstborn of his youngest son, would get a Germanic name. The other names are from the grand-grandmother from the mother’s sides a

The door opened and a young woman with short, red bunches and huge glasses, looked out.
She wore an opulently maid-dress with a fittingly hood.
“Err… who I shall announce? “She asked unsure.
“Us…“ I answered.
“Wigburg Antonia Inge Herman…“
„… and Elisabeth Felicia Renate Herman. The earl expect us. “Added Lieschen. The housemaid smiled suddenly joyful.
“Oh of course… the housemaids from Germany!! Yes, the young master awaits you! Come in…”
We stepped in and put relieved our baggage down and took our thick coats off.
“Welcome to England and in our house. I’m Maylene, the housemaid.”

Undertaker appeared soon, pulling quite simple, modest wooden casket behind him. A lot of poor people were carried to graveyards in caskets like this, only to be thrown out into specific pits where the rest of the poorest were usually buried. Although they were transported to those pits in coffins like these, the bodies themselves were wrapped only in sheets or some other kind of fabric… and then thrown in the deep, spacious hole in the ground, one body placed over other, and over the next one… until pits were filled to the top. Then, the ground chunks would be placed over all of them - and that was it. The burial of the poorest.
Adrielle shivered at the thought, though it was very Evelyn-like to put the Seer into that kind of coffin. She knew how to make a state

She has heard it in the deepest, darkest corner of her mind. A whisper, distant and soft. She would recognize that voice anywhere, anytime. There was no person in the whole world that whispered her name that way. It was eerie, but seductive. Smooth and soothing.
In that moment, she knew… that the bond was never truly severed, and that he was never too far away. Despite his latest contract. Evelyn Waldram smiled softly as she whispered his name back in return.

“Well, that must have brought back some pretty painful memories,” the Undertaker giggled as he returned from the storage room and after putting Natasha Grey’s body back to safety.

The carriage was now moving through the thick forest, covered in mist and accompanied by the loud sounds of heavy rain and roaring thunders. The nature was bending under the unusually large drops of water and occasional pieces of frozen ice that were making the storm dangerous for anyone who happened to be outside. The weather was nothing short of a catastrophe, but the carriage of the strange trio didn’t seem to be affected by it in any way. Other than frustrating beats of the ice at the top of the carriage, that is. Adrielle didn’t appreciate the thunders either. She wasn’t a big fan of storms in general, not even when they were conveyed by her friend, the witch.
“You should have just told me about the blood. I would have understood,” she insisted, leaning her head against the leather seat. She h

Screams of pure agony filled the whole area. As flames were melting the skin, the hair, and the flesh away, only the voice echoed… but that resonance didn’t last for too long. The monster moved, attracted to the burned flesh - and in first motion, it took the entire arm. It started crunching, and soon after, lured by the taste, greedily took another bite.
Adrielle had to look away. She fought the urge to vomit, and to scream in despair. It took all her strength to remain collected. Evelyn was quickly disappearing in front of everyone’s eyes, until Adrielle wasn’t able to look anymore... but Sebastian was watching the entire time. He seemed cold and distant throughout the whole thing, and quite indifferent. But that wasn’t supposed to surprise anyone. He was a demon, a

“She came here for her own, selfish reasons, lady Roseville. Let’s not make a martyr out of Evelyn Waldram, for she is everything but one.”
Sebastian was still holding Evelyn’s body in his arms. He was covering himself and that woman with the pair of long, black wings that were growing out of his back. His eyes were completely black too, except for the pupils which were still the color of magenta. His hands had those razor-sharp claws, and a pair of long, curved horns was spiraling up from his head. He looked tad like some fallen angel - beautiful, but deadly, still covered in blood from the wound he bestowed upon his witch. Despite that eerie, evil look, he carried her w

Aleister Chamber’s parties were always spectacular. Evelyn used to attend them with Robert during her engagement and later, after marrying him. She didn’t like attending, but Robert forced her, just like he forced all the other things and events in her life.
At this point, she knew exactly what she could expect.
She was pretty much used to the glamour, delicious food, and exceptional music. Aleister loved to entertain his guests, and loved to make people talk about his soirees afterwards. The man simply enjoyed to be admired for his hedonistic taste and luxurious lifestyle.
This time, he has organized a masquerade. All of his guests were wearing masks, and exotic, creative attires they wouldn’t normally wear. The orchestra in the main hall was playing Vivaldi’s “Le quattro stagioni” – The Four Seasons - in the background as the food was served.

The kill order made butlers leave Evelyn’s side, reaching for the nearest coven members. Adrielle knew that Evelyn was distressed, but some decisions of hers she will never approve.
“Evelyn Lavinia Edna Waldram! There are innocent people here!” she yelled as Sebastian gripped the nearest person – a man with a silver locket – and suffocated him to death.
The body dropped on the floor, and Sebastian was still smiling, reaching for the nearest table. His long arm took a knife.
Claude looked pretty indifferent as he was reaching for Adrielle’s knife and throwing it in the heart of the middle aged man who was also earing a locket. He dropped, and Claude reached for the nearest woman, snapping her neck like it was a branch.
Evelyn’s face was a grimace of the pure cruelty.

“Did you hear? The Phantomhive Lord… turns out to be alive.”
“The boy, or the father?”
“The boy, you fool. The one who was just recently declared dead.”
“It’s hard to keep track on who’s deceased in that family, I tell you.”
“Well, I couldn’t agree more. Some rotten luck in their lineage. And a damn… tragedy. It’s a good thing that the boy still lives.”
“Yes, but how come the boy’s still alive? Didn’t he leave all those hart-breaking notes, bidding farewell and foreseeing his own death?”
“Turns out, he was targeted, and forced to forge those notes. It was all a big fiasco. But fortunately, he was saved, and by none other but the Crimson Countess.
Crossroads: A Kuroshitsuji OC Fanfic
(Note: Eventual OC/Canon and eventual romance including Vincent Phantomhive)
Years flew by like days when Sebastian found himself enjoying his corporeal existence. Days of tedium affected the stability of his temperament, though. The role of the unassuming, yet clever butler was starting to wear this demon down. He was beyond human comprehension, grandiose to the point of nausea, a being composed of only his own pompous will and obscene hunger, and yet, here he was muddling about a manor at his Master’s behest. To the current Head of the Phantomhive family, he was but a tool to be used, a chess piece the boy toyed with while he played his arbitrary game.
Many demons found making contracts with humans to be one of the most reprehensible acts a demon could commit. To lower oneself so as to bow before a human master was a humiliating act, especially for a being so great and ubiquitous as a demon. A human life was nothing but a sliver of happiness and pain compar
