Due to Selene and her lover creating the first vampires in Comics!Verse Lore, vampires have a heavy association with the moon.

As Usagi is among Selene's ' daughters ', this makes it so that she also has vampiric urges.

This also means that Arcueid and Usagi are basically sisters :V
