As a dynamic group with admins who each have a life of their own, we regularly have to deal with backlogs of submissions we can't get to in a timely fashion. For this reason, we can always use an extra hand helping us out.
So we are recruiting new contributors!
What's the job of a contributor?
► Your main job will be to vote on submissions. We get an average of 200 submissions every day, and divided by the average amount of admins that are online on a day that is about 40 submissions per person, 30-20 with the new admins. Be prepared to set some time aside to go through them. This takes time, someone with a tight schedule can't keep up this work.
► We don't expect you to be active every day. There's plenty of other admins to take over your absent days or weeks if you go on vacation or take a break, but the days you can be online and have time we do expect some activity. An average of at least 4 days a week of activity is expected.
► You are required to know the rules and submission guidelines. If you want to be sure, we'll explain them briefly to you upon inviting.
► You are capable of commenting on a declined submission to tell the user why it was declined.
► You have an open personality and are willing to politely help out members with questions.
To be an admin you don't have to be online or even active every day, you don't have to upload art to the group or even draw OCs, and you can even be an admin if you're not an artist at all. What counts is your ability and dedication.
As a contributor, you do get some perks!
► Your own submissions to the group are instantly accepted and you get extra submissions per week.
► You get to have a say in potential upcoming group events and changes, or even suggest them yourself.
► You can suggest journals and polls to be posted and seen by 16 000+ members.
▶︎ You get access to our exclusive OC-Tea employee Discord server, where you can get to know your colleagues well and discuss new ideas for the group.
Interested? Great! To apply to become a contributor, all you have to do is fill in the following template and either comment it on this journal or send it as a note to the group.
► Do you have any experience with running a group? Explain your experience:
► How often can you be active in the group on an average week? How many days per week?:
► Do you know our rules and submission guidelines?: [If you're not completely familiar with them we can still help you out with that later]
► Are you willing to dedicate your time to this group, knowing that it will take you time and effort?:
► Anything else you'd like to mention that you think is relevant?:
These applications will close on the 1st of November, after which we will review them and choose the people who seem most capable of joining our team. Unlike the last time, there is no set number of new admins we're looking for. If we get one interesting application, we'll add one new contributor, if we get ten, we add ten new contributors. We can absolutely use any help we can get!
Thanks in advance and good luck to everyone who's interested in applying!
