Squishhh!

DONE!! I will talk even more about them in a different post (I am still busy), but this song inspired their story.

It all starts off pretty chill, like a simple slice-of-life vibe set in the '80s - you can tell by Tommy's look and Owen's shirt that kinda looks like a bus seat (no hate, I actually love that). Tommy is (or was) a super sweet, charming and caring guy who’s loved by everyone - he puts a lot of work into that too; you can always count on him... so much it might even be unhealthy. He is trying to financially support his mother, who is struggling with her substance addiction and he is even considering moving back into her apartment.

Owen is one of Tommy’s best friends. He’s got this angry look in the drawing, but honestly, he’s a total sweetheart. He’s also gay but has to hide it because of the AIDS crisis and all the hostility against gay men. He has a crush on Tommy, who in turn is pursuing Jane - one of their friends who recently broke up with her kinda toxic ex. Tommy has no interest in her, but initially mistakes his platonic feelings and physical desires for a crush, especially as he doesn't want to be seen as queer (although he has no problem with others being queer).

Unfortunately, one day he was found dead washed up on a beach in Florida, and at first the police said it was just an accident. But his friends start to find it strange. Tommy wanted to quit his boring cashier job as he wanted to find something more exciting. Therefore, he thought about working as a lifeguard at the nearby beach, especially since he had always enjoyed swimming and had taken many swimming and even lifeguard courses. He would never take a swim all by himself and especially not at night. And most importantly - Tommy behaved strangely before the night of his death.

His Friends dig deeper into his life, discovering secrets they never knew about him and eventually find the people who "ended" him and why.
