But I mean a puppy in a onesie and diaper is sorta cute haha.
ALSO IT'S IMPORTANT TO NOTE that the light purple color in this image is NOT related to the shading at all. It's simply a color I chose to use this time so I can see where I'm shading easier and not distracted by colors and markings. You can use any color you like as long as it's light (even white!) and then the layer is DELETED once shading is finished on the other layers.
I have pretty much the same process for all my shaded pieces.
This tutorial is meant for experience level moderate to expert.
Sort of redundant in that way, isn't it?
A lot of shading has to do with experience and intuition, but here's how you can replicate my effects at least.
If you have a question about anything discussed, feel free to ask!
I'll also make other tutorials on request.
speaking of anatomy, is it possible for you to do a tutorial about the ear placement (canine mainly)? I have quite a rough time trying to find the perfect spot! Thank you in advance!
The thin lighter line alongside the line art is so subtle but makes so much difference it's quite impressive! Thanks for sharing the tutorial, now I just need to work on my anatomy XD
