I'm back in Oregon for a few weeks to be away from post-earthquake madness and radiation. I live in Tochigi prefecture, which is far and away from the ocean, so we did not suffer from any tsunami. On the other hand, we are just south of Fukushima prefecture with the nuclear power plants in question. Most people in Tochigi are continuing on with their daily lives as usual (thank goodness we *can* do that), but some people who have family elsewhere have chosen to take refuge, just in case. I am knitting my first sweater right now, and am naturally encountering problems and challenges I have never had before.
Problem #1: I want to have a little button-up opening from the collar to above the chest. I have no idea how to do that, and am afraid I'm lacking in the proper vocabulary to research it out x_x
Problem #2: The sleeves. Well, I haven't started knitting those yet, so I don't even know what my problem is/will be. I'm just anticipating the difficulties I may have in connecting it to the body.

Hi y'all. Hope everyone had a nice holiday season. I FINALLY got my new MacBook (she's real sweet), and I am back on dA! w00t!
I have to admit, not having a computer was actually a really good thing. Without the constant distraction, my apartment stayed cleaner, I went out more, I did more art, etc. So I'm going to try to stay off the internet as much as possible, but no worries kids, that means there will be MORE deviations!
Looking forward to seeing what everyone made in my absence^^
