“You’ll take my life, but I’ll be sure to take yours too. I am the foundation that holds a mighty castle, I am not disposable, I am a man of freedom and liberty. I will never bend to your whim!”
Many of his kind perish, treated by foes as the hounds of duty. He was the sole survivor of a mission gone wrong, and is on the verge of death lying under starlit night beaten into a corner and too weak to move. All fell quiet under night at the town hall’s alley.
Dawn surfaces on the plant base as our two Heroes Craig the cactus and Pulse the power flower emerge from their beds to do the morning chores Pops, their plausibly legal guardian pops corn had assigned. They first made their beds, Pulse picked off the blankets stuck to Craig, and head to the main base for their next job. When they entered, they saw pops sitting in the easy chair sipping some Ice-T and watching his gardener smother out some weeds walking into the walls of the base. “Ah! Kids!” Pops exclaimed “Hopefully you got some rest because its chore day.”
Tell me something I don't know, Craig thought.
“I should mention" Pops added “That I added a chore list for Saturdays on the board. Go ahead and see what I need done.” Pulse and Craig go to the board to see what was in store for them for the day. They saw immediately a difference in length in their lists. “Woah woah woah! Why is my list a mile long!?” Craig cried. “Scrub the RV, Vacuum the garage, erase corn videos( PS Ignore that one) -WHAT IS THIS!?” “Wow.” Pulse replied “ Must suck to be you. Look at mine! “ Craig tore his eyes from his list of infinite chores to see Pulse’s: a sticky note with one request to pick up trash around the town hall. “Is that it?” He protested “The city hall never gets litter. He's setting you up for basically no work at all!”
“It might be because I asked him to shorten my chores.”
“Shorten them? How is that remotely fair!?”
“Maybe you should ask him yourself. I'm sure he’d oblige.” Pulse grabbed a bag and went for the door. “I'm off to do my chore for the day. Good luck, Craig!” As she trotted off to pick up litter, Craig looked his list. “I'm gonna need luck if I'm gonna get through this!”
Craig immediately goes back to Pops to clear the air with the excessive chore list. “MOVE FASTER, Fernando!” He commanded to the gardener playing in the tulips. “Or no minimum wage!” Craig enters upset of the list. “Heya, Craig! Enjoying the new list?” Pops said “Uuhh, no. not at all, actually.” Craig responded. “I don’t want to do this much work while Pulse gets off scott free!”
“Listen son, do you want to be recognized and rewarded?”
“Well, yes, but-”
“Will you want to be treated like a responsible youth?”
“Then you can see why I made your list longer! If you want the honey, You gotta bear the hatchet! That’s what my dad told me when he got his belt…” Craig seemed stumped. “Trust me, Craig. If you do what’s on your list, It’ll be worthwhile if you put your head to it.” “But how will I-”
Trust your feelings and use the force, or whatever.” Pops returned to his ice tea and monitoring of the gardener. Craig defeated moseys along to wash the potatoes and spice the yams.
Elsewhere, Pulse wondered around picking up litter as she pleased. “Soda can… Paper bag… OOH! LIPSTICK-that’s...empty.” She swept along the town hall until she saw a lot of green metal scraps. She picked them up, as if nothing happened, and as she scanned the bushes she saw an odd helmet. Too wide for her to wear, but it looked cool! “Wow! I wonder if Pops knows what this belonged to?” She found more junk scattered, so naturally she picked it up. She was resting a moment when she heard rustling in the bush that gave her a fright. In shock she turned to the bush, Slowly approaching it as swayed and moaned. She pulled the bush back to reveal a Weed unconscious and on the ground. “Wow. Pops must’ve missed one recently. I’ll remove it for him!” Pulse said. As she flipped the weed over, she looked in horror at the weed! The whole left eye was burned off, and green bubbly acid trickled from his face as he coughed up black goop from his own pulpy mess. She resisted the urge to vomit and immediately called out for help.
Pretty soon Craig, Pops and even Audrey stopped what they were doing and were there in no time flat. They all looked at the weed’s melted cornea in shock “W-T-F” Audrey exclaimed. “Was it the gardener?” Pops asked. “I’m calling a doctor! Kids, get him inside, and watch out for lawyers!” Craig and Pulse looked at each other and pulled the dying weed in the base for emergency health. Audrey gathered all the junk around the scene seeing the weed may know about it. Pops went to get a doctor on the phone, to save this plant’s trickling life.
The doctor examined the weed now stable in bed. “You are very fortunate” The doctor said. “This weed was minutes from a cold death. “And his e-eye?” Pulse stammered “I’m sorry, but his left eye is gone, it was disintegrated and could no longer work properly. “ Pulse looked sadly at the weed as it rested. “Say, what was that green neon ooze bubbling on his head?” Audrey asked. The doctor sweated nervously, and gulped “I’ve done some tests, and it’s as I feared. This substance is a lethal mixture of PLANTICIDE.” Everyone looked at the doctor confused. “Planticide?” Craig puzzled. “Yes, It’s a Bio weapon unimaginably powerful. Plutonium, Berserkitope, and Nuke Juice combined to give this deadly concoction it’s power. It exists as a gas or a liquid. The liquid is used like a dastardly acid melting and burning anything green and leafy. The gas is more sinister. Once inhaled by a plant, they dissolve inside out, OR EVEN EXPLODE.” The gang all gasped in horror. The Doctor looked at the Weed. “This guy is veeeeeery lucky to be alive. Not even torchwoods can survive planticide, but this weed was exposed to small portions of it. It cleans right off with water.“ The doctor having finished the exclamation left the weed in the care of Pops and the kids. The doctor soon made a call outside the plant base: “Jerry, They have the Vial….”
Craig looked at the weed’s face half in bandages and shuddered at the thought. “Planticide…” Minutes later, as everybody was resuming their duties with their new guest all in mind, the weed was murmuring and moving healthier than before. “Hey guys! He’s waking up!” Audrey cried out as she passed. The plants all rushed over to see the weed. “Look at him! He’s awake!” Pulse said happily. “Well, this is going to be like any other weed, back to wandering around uselessly around my property” Grumbled Pops. “Give him space! Don’t startle him!” Craig ordered. The weed’s one eye opened, blurry, and processing the situation. Immediately, the Weed lashed out violently punching Pops down, and trying to get out of bed. “GET RID OF THAT PLANTICIDE AND COME AND FIGHT ME, YOU COWARDS! I… WILL NOT DIE LIKE THIS!!!” He shouted. Craig and Audrey pinned him down, Ignoring his protests. Pulse went in front of him as he lashed out confused. “Hey! HEY! Calm down! Relax.” Pulse said, trying to calm the spooked weed down. His vision was finally fixed as he saw Pulse in front of him, and stopped thrashing. He breathed heavily and felt his head covered in bandages. “Wha? Where am… Who are?” He stammered “What in the sam hill is going on!?” Pulse filled the weed in on who they were and what they know. Pops looked at the weed curiously seeing this weed is ….different. “I see. Well, I honorably owe all of you my life. “ “Well, you could do the lawn!” Pops corn blurted out as Audrey smacked him. “Ow! What did I do?” Craig looked at the metal junk Pulse collected. Amongst them, was a silver plated slab. He picked it up and examined the engravings. “Hey, Mr. Weed, does the number ‘1137426535’ mean anything to you?” The weed nodded. “One one three seven- That’s my growth number!”
“Growth number? And what about ‘New Subherba’? Does that name seem familiar?”
“Yes it does Craig. That’s where I was born. In the east coast. “ Pops eyes lit up. “Hold it right there!” He said “Growth number, Growth location? You are a MILITARY WEED!?” The weed smiled, got up, and saluted. “Corporal Recon Weed, Max Quatterson of the Plant Republic’s Redwood Division at arms! Proudly serving for freedom under leader Nyan from the tyranny of the Z-Tech Empire!” The plants were all stunned looking at a real life plant hero of war. They were out in the country from any involvement in the war against Z-Tech. So seeing one of them in the country was a surprise. “Wow! A real life plant soldier! This is sooo cool!” Pulse squealed happily. Max smiled, and layed back down. “The questions. I HAVE ALL OF THEM.” Craig boggled. “Well, I guess I could answer some, seeing you all are interested and saved my live n’ all.” The kids could barely hold in their excitement. “Pops! Can we please hear his stories? PLEASE?” Craig and Pulse begged. “Now wait a minute” Pops sternly said. You have chores to do, remember?”
“C’mon! When are we going to get a chance like this again?”
“Well, wouldn’t you rather hear about when I lost my lunch money to a couple of bullies after I beat them up?”
“You told that already!” Craig whined. “Yeah” added Pulse “50 times!” Pops grunted. “Fine. You got fifteen minutes. Then your chores need to be done!” Pops left as he grumbled to get back to his iced tea.
“Where do I start? Where do I end? “ Craig asked himself. “Hey! Mr. Weed- I mean, Max!” Pulse said holding out the helmet she found. “What is this used for?” Max held it and smiled. “This is my reconnasince helmet or recon helm for short. Many weeds like me had one of these helmets!” Craig Audrey and Pulse all huddled close to hear about Max’s adventures in the Plant Republic. He talked about Plant Republic plants and how they were trained differently than LEAF’s. He speculated the glory days when Z-Tech was first defeated by Nyan’s new Plant Operated Tanks, or POT units. He went on about the war’s twists and turns in the Redwood Division. Max told of dangerous encounters with enemy tanks, ambushes, and planticide raids. It seemed Max had been through a lot to keep his planet safe. “Wow. Well, thank you for your service to the world, and coming here to fight!” Craig said inspired. “Thank you, but It’s not my fault I ended up here.” Max replied. “I was lone wolf, on a scouting mission when my plane and contact with command were terminated.” I was wandering for weeks it seemed. I came here to find a phone or something I could contact my platoon with, but the land lines weren’t far enough. As I looked more, I found myself cornered by an imp with slick hair outside the town hall and his goons.” “WHAT??” The plants exclaimed. “You don’t mean Jerry? The one with the mech?”
“THAT’S what the rottie is called? Jerry?”
“What happened next?” Unbeknownst to them, Pops was outside listening as well. Max continued his flashback.
“I was getting close to a signal when I was ambushed by…. Jerry…. And his henchmen. Never met such dishonorable scum in my life!”
Max was alone in the dark. His Vision was vague and he was honing in on a way to contact the Redwood Battalion he was separated from. A group of Zombies blocked his way with guns pointed his way. “Stop. Big boss Jerry want talk to you.” A thug said. “Gentlemen, let me through. I have no time for this.” Max retorted. He tried pushing past. The thuge then opened fire at him, but Max was a Man of war. He effortlessly vanquishes the two thugs, and was about to make a break for it. He was then bound by a biotic pull by Jerry in his mech! “Let me go! In the name of the Plant Republic’s authority, release me!” Jerry laughed behind his visor at the weed. “Ooh! I’m so scared! NOT!” Max was sliced by a Zomniblade and knocked back. The soldier stood up in pain much to Jerry’s surprise. “You’ll take my life, but I’ll be sure to take yours too.” Max Ranted. Jerry surprised Fired his Z8 Avenger, hitting Max, but he again rises back up bravely. “I am the foundation that holds a mighty castle, I am not disposable, I am a man of freedom and liberty.” Max said shaking “Or, a weed in my way!” Jerry shouted as he smashed max under his leg and kicked him aside. Still, Max did not give up. “I will never bend to your whim! And if I fall, Know it will be of honor! Unlike you.” Jerry smiled as he revealed his secret weapon “I always wanted to test this! You’ll be a perfect test monkey!” Jerry threw a green vile of Planticide at Max. Max’s adrenaline kicked in and he evaded a noxious fate, but losing an eye to the toxins in the conflict. Max was out of energy. He was weak, and jerry simply threw him into a bush and broke his recon gear into pieces! “Now see if you can smuggle out the plans to the Portal!” Jerry smirked. He and his gang left Max for dead in the bush for an entire night of pain and burning.
“And that’s How I ended up here.” Max concluded. “That’s some story” Craig pointed out “But did you say Jerry thought you had portal plans?” Max thought, and nodded. “Yeah, he did. Do you know of such a thing?” The plants all looked at each other and questionably answered no. “Well about the Planticide, That was my assignment. Locate smuggled Planticide. I think I found it, but Jerry sure didn’t want me to.” Max looked at the green metal scrap. “There. That’s the cap to the vial he threw at me. Burnt with acid markings on the middle.” Craig paused “So Jerry now has access to a bio weapon capable of tearing this base apart!?” “So it would seem” Audrey said. “But how are we going to Counter this?” Pulse smiled and pointed to Max. “Max! He’s the key. He’s fought enemies far and wide so he must know about the weaknesses of Planticide!”
“If there’s a call for help,” Max declared “Then even in such a state, I will answer as a trooper of heroism.” “Oh, Great. The crippled weed will save us all” Pops grunted. “It’s not like we can’t fend for ourselves or anything.” Everyone saw Pops outside the door. Quietly, everyone went back to work. Pops waited until everyone was back to work when he confronted Max “Listen here you goody two shoes. I don’t know who you think you are, but you are not in charge of my family. I can hold my own just as easily, and you won’t tear me away form the kids and Audrey.” Max shook his head “I’m sure you can” he responded “But I’m working here because It’s the right thing to do. I don’t fight to get recognized. I hold the line because it’s the right thing to do. Surely you can understand that, right?” Pops couldn’t say anything. He kept his pride and exited the room with Max’s tags. He then went looking for his phone and contacted the Redwood division. “You government creeps missing a trooper? Well I think we found him…”
As Craig unclogged all the toilets and raked the leaves, he was still thinking on how to stop the incoming invasion with Jerry. Audrey appeared to check up on him. “I don’t get it. Audrey. If Max is such a hero, then why is Pops so against Max, and why did he make my list so big in the first place?” Audrey sighed “Maybe he thinks you are responsible. Perhaps he wants to prove he’s just a hard worker and as organized as he says.” Audrey theorized “Max might be making him jealous.”
“Jealous? Of his responsibility?”
“Maybe. I don’t really know. But something is rubbing Pops the wrong way.”
“I have a feeling Pops wants to prove his worth by taking on this Planticide epidemic.”
Craig felt worried. If Pops really was trying to one up Max, he might get killed himself. He decided it was best to talk to Pops about his mood. So he trotted off to find him after finally completing his list.
Pulse had plenty of free time at hand. She played around and listened to more of Max’s stories. She soon developed a friendship with Max after more minutes of heroic stories and battles. Pulse tried using her heal beam to revive Max. It was slow, but eventually he found the strength to move on. “It feels better finally with boots to the ground.” Max commented. “I’m not used to lazing around.” “Really?” Pulse asked curiously “Think about all the fun you can have in your free time!” “The way I see it pulse, is what gets accomplished if I do a certain task. If I were to invent a genius product or play a game console 24/7, think of the results long term. I might help evolve life and live better with the invention, but I’d rather do that than rather feel a sense of pride and accomplishment for unlocking different heroes on a fake reality inside a screen.” Pule thought about it and looked at her note. MAx soon saw it too “That note. Is that what Pops gave you to do?” Pulse nodded. “Why do you think it’s so little compared to Craig’s?”
“Well, I...asked Pops to shorten it.” Pulse said with guilt “What good will that do you? Hours of free time, but not getting near enough recognition for it? It doesn’t seem very wise to me.”
“Yeah. I guess you’re right, Max.”
Pulse helped him outside when she was greeted at the front gate by two weeds dressed similarly to Max. Needless to say, Pulse was surprised to see these soldiers here. “Hello, guys! Can I… help you?” She asked. The trooper to her left showed her their badge “As a matter of fact you can. We came to retrieve Max Qatterson.” Max smiled at his comrades. “Hey, Yewstein, Sappler. It’s been awhile.” Pulse let the soldiers in, and brought them to Pops who in turned explained everything to the two troopers. Craig watched from a distance “We found him busted up and bruised” he explained “We kept him safe until he could move again.” The trooper stopped Pops “That’s enough. The Admiral Charles Huxley Arizona gives his greatest thanks for saving his man. But the time has come for him to return home.” “What!?” Pulse cried out. “What about Jerry and the Planticide?” Max nodded “Yea, boys. About my mission, I found where smuggled Planticide is being stored. We have a cap of the vial here!” Max reached into the garbage bag, but the cap was gone.
“What? Where did it go?” “Let me try!” Pulse said desperately digging in the bag. It’s no use. It’s missing. As everyone looked for the vial cap with the acidic burn marks, Pops found a familiar face in the window. “Hey! It’s Jerry!” Pops shouted. Jerry appeared out of hiding “That is right! And I found something you can’t be trusted to have! “ He laughed. In his hands was the evidence needed. “The cap!” Max exclaimed “Give it back you ungrateful demon!”
“Wow. You STILL aren’t dead?” Jerry said observing the weed. “You must be desperate, even for a weed.” Guns drew from Max’s allies. “Surrender that cap, Rottie! You will answer for your crimes against the Plant Republi-”
“You talk too much.” Jerry throws a gravity bomb and makes a run for it. “He’s getting away! Craig exclaimed. He chased Jerry to the edge of the base on top of the walls. “You again. Always finding a way to interfere.” Jerry grunted “With my plans, my romantic relationship with pulse, Now my devious plans!” “It really suits me.” Craig responded as he shot Jerry. Jerry stumbled back and lost his balance off the base.
Craig ran to see the aftermath, but was knocked back by a green painted SHRimp mech with Jerry inside! “How do you like me now?” Jerry cackles as he pulled a switch. Immediately, the water holding up the Mech turned green and fizzling. Craig backed up fast. He saw the planks beneath him getting desintagrated. “You are using Planticide!? Are you mad!?” Craig cried. “Just returning the favor for all the times you and Pops burned me down!” A laser shot forward from the mech, but Craig slips away. The mech soon begins destroying the base with Planticide. Craig bought enough time for everyone trapped inside the gravity bomb to get free. “LOVE ME! EHEHEHE!” Jerry laughed maniacally while shooting behind Pulse in pursuit. The ground fizzled and blackened behind her. She needed to escape soon!
The Weeds of war all looked at each other and went out the side gate. Pops shooting Jerry saw them slip away “Where do you think you’re going!?” Pops roared “To get reinforcements, Pops! He’s too powerful by ourselves!” Max responded. “You are just running away like the weed cowards you always are!” Pops shouted. The Soldiers didn’t say another word, and exited the base. “Great job, pops. You drove away the only chance we had a beating Jerry!” Craig shouted
“It ain't my fault! They are the ones boasting they’re omnipotent!”
“You are Jealous of them, Pops! Admit it!”
“Pah! Of those flashy troop buffoons?”
“Why are you so against them!?”
“I DON’T WANT TO BE REPLACED!!!!” Everything fell silent, except for Jerry who was still shooting wildly in his Planticide SHRimp. “I don’t. I’ve worked hard to prove I can take care of you and discipline you. I don’t want to lose all that because I don’t have a badge.” Craig soon sighed, and snuck over to Pops under the Mayhem. “Pops, Pulse and I love you. Through the good and the bad. We stand together through impossible odds, and we never had a military rank! These Guys can help us, but only if you let them!” Pops nodded in submission, swallowing his pride.
“GUYS, WATCH OUT!” Yelled Audrey as Jerry pounced on top of both of them. “Aww… how sweet.” Jerry said. He bagan pumping gas around Craig and Pops. “You both can die happy now! I suggest you take a deep breath and hold it.” They were trapped. Planticide gas all around. “Pops! Craig! NO!” Pulse cried out. It seemed hopeless, then suddenly, the ground began shaking, and wht walls Crashed apart! There was a Tank! It rams into the SHRimp mech knocking it away, and washing away the gas. Pops and Craig gasped for air as they saw the Giant tank before them. It was made out of wood, and had lawn for tracks. It’s roar was fierce and it had an inscription on the turret, “Birch Betty”. The hatch opened up to reveal Max commanding the tank with his two buddies controlling it! “Go Craig! Go Pops! Get Pulse and Audrey out of here! We’ll take out the trash!” Max cried out. “Max… I didn’t.. Wow.” Craig said “Now THAT’s a Gun!” Pops retorted pumped up. “GO!” Max closes the hatch, and the POT unit is ready to fight. The trio of weeds all rallied each other up.
“When you surrender, there’s no gain!”
“Just giving into forces with a lust for tyrant reign!”
“For the People! For the Plant Republic!”
The plant based tank chuffs forward. Getting it’s gun ready to fire. A Full auto kernel machine gun let loose on the mech. The chain was explosive, but it was deflected by Jerry’s Shields! “Max! We’re shooting tennis balls at em’! All bouncin’!” “Push her forward! We need to buy Pulse and her friends some time to get out of danger.” Max commanded The Tank charged, firing it’s cannon at the mech.
Pulse and everyone made it out with the secret plans pops had for his portal safely. “You know, Those Weeds aren’t going to run, right?” Pulse said to Pops. “They were grown to fight. That SHRimp mech is really resisting their tank’s firepower.” “It’s only a matter of time…” Audrey said sadly. Pops lowered his head in thought as everyone watched.
The POT Fired more shells at the Jerry’s mech, but the shield bounced it all off! “Get out of my way! This is between me, and Pops!” The Mech sprayed plancicide over the tank’s front. The armor began to fizzle out. “I’m going for the engine! And everything else attached!” The driver said. The tank rammed into the Shrimp pinning it to the corner unable to move. It’s shields are down, but the planticide is picking up fast. Max tried swiveling the turret, but the barrel was stuck on the walls! “Don’t let him get away! Keep him pinned!” Max said. Soon the hull melted off. The Driver was exposed to the elements of Planticide and the tank was going to melt away fast. “GET OUT OF THAT AND FIGHT, YOU COWARD!” Jerry laughed. “You weeds really are all idiots. Aren’t you?” As the main laser pointed at the weeds inside the tank, a shuck shot knocked off the main weapon of the SHRimp Mech! “What!?” Jerry screamed “My lovely mech!”
Pops then fired another shuck shot at the planticide tank. Craig Used his drone to ferry the troopers out of the melting tank to safety one by one where Pulse and audrey would nurse them. “C’mon, Max! Get on!” Craig said. “No! Not without this threat to the neighborhood gone! I just need to get one well placed shot.” “There’s no time!” Max shot down the garlic drone for Craig’s sake, and tried to turn the turret. Pops saw Max still inside struggling with the barrel. Pops rushed to the gun and tried to free it manually. “I need more leverage!” Pops said. “Craig! Give me your chore list!” Craig confusedly threw his long list. Pops tied it around the barrel and threw it over a tree creating a pulley system. He heaved, and the turret began rising suddenly, the turret swayed freely again! “Ha ha! Gun’s back!” Pops shouted. “Uh-oh. Jerry said as he ejected from his project. Max gritted his teeth and focused his one eye on the cannon. A shockwave rang as the shot desecrated the Mech, and the tank with it.
“Pops! Pops!” Pulse cried out. “Ae you there?” From the dust, Max carried Pops out of the storm. “MAX! POPS!” Everyone cheered. Max set Pops down next to his kiddos and Audrey. “Wow. My eye is all blurry.” He says “It’s almost like I need this tomato eyepatch now! Kinda an eye for an eye situation, huh, Max?” Everyone at first looked unamused, but Max chuckled. “An eye for an eye… I like that!” Soon their panicked feelings turned to laughs.
It’s come to the end now. The Troopers contacted the Plant Republic, and the army came to the base to fix all the repairs, and do all the chores as well. Craig, Pulse, Pops, and Audrey all sat back drinking Ice tea and watching the volunteer work of the Plant Republic. “It’s a good thing we don’t need to move, huh?” Pulse said to the others “Don’t count on it, Pulse.” Craig responded. “Next time, we won’t be so lucky.”
As they finished their drinks, The soldiers all aligned by the entrance. “All at attention! Admiral Charles Huxley Arizona approaching!” The gates opened, and a hyperactive Hot Rod Chomper named Torque moseyed in followed by a Commando Corn with an impressive military hat. “Admiral Arizona is a corn?” Pulse asked. “I pictured him more swole.” Audrey added. Admiral Arizona approached Pops and saluted him as Pops extended a handshake. Arizona, confused returns the handshake. “Pops,” Arizona said “You have given us great leads to where Planticide is harvested, and whole heartedly saved a total stranger to you but a family to us. We the Plant Republic are eternally grateful for your service to this world, and to our men.” “Of course he would take the credit for that.” Pulse whispered to Craig annoyed.
“We froze Jerry’s interaction with Z-Tech, so he cannot get anymore Planticide shipments. We can’t operate here under this government, but if he ever comes back with that notorious substance, we will be on him like shingles on the elderly! You done good, and you all should be proud.” The gang all smiled content. Eventually Arizona wrapped things up. The Plant Republic went back to the fronts, but Max Quatterson first gave Pulse a memento: His Tags. As a true sign of honor and a trophy for a trooper, this is a sign of ultimate respect and worthy of reward to have the very character of another soldier in your hands. Pulse smiled and waved to Max as he took off with the army.
“Well kids, It’s about dinnertime.” Pops announced “WHO WANTS ICE CREAM AND JELLY BEANS!?” Everybody all jumped excited for a sugary dinner of epic proportions. As for Jerry? Let’s say he’s back to the drawing board concocting another scheme. But that is a story for another day.
