Anything I can get my hands on
Hey! It looks like I got a daily deviation for my Tyrannosaurus Rex sculpture. Thank you! I should thank @copperrein and @pinkythepink for the add. Very cool, thank you again.

Howdy y'all. I just added some work in progress images to my sculpture process shots folder. I don't think there is a way to not have them show up in newest deviations giving the impression that these are recent images. They are not. They are WIP ima...

Happy Early Birthday, Nick Fonseca.
If I misspelled your name in any way whatsoever, I beg and beseech thee to both inform me of what/where and to forgive me my goof-up.
Sincerely one of your hopefully entirely too many fans;

Hey, thanks! Much appreciated. Looks like you spelled me name correctly.

I was wondering what clay do you use? I was planning on getting into sculpting and i need somewhere to start, i saw your sculptures and immediately wanted to do stuff like that.
A great clay to start with would be Super Sculpey. It is used by professionals and beginners and is a work horse of polymer clay. Start with the beige and grey medium blend. That will give you a good ground to start with. Sculpey is available at every art store you can think of. Also, hit up some basic sculpting tutorials on YouTube. The Shiflett brothers have a great Facebook group that is very kind to beginners and they have lots of tutorials. Here's a small list of things you will want to start with: Aluminum armature wire" a few gauges", your clay, aluminum foil, a pack of sculpting tools, wire cutters, and a piece of wood for a base. Then hit up those tutorials for armature building and you should be off to a good start. One final very important thing, be sure to focus on your forms, proportions and composition before going into detail. You want nice volumes with minimal concavities. The detail is really just embellishment. The important part is is the base sculpture. If that is beautiful everything else will follow. Good luck, and enjoy the process. Happy sculpting!!
Thanks, I’ll make sure to check it all out!
