We got in to PA yesterday, and I'm starting to get acclimated to things here (including with the weather lol!)
Traveling from Reno, NV, to Johnstown, PA, was something of an adventure. My brother and I hadn't traveled by train since we were little, so it's something that neither of us remembered. The route that the train took was places that we had never been in, except for Chicago, IL. Our mother's family is from a town near Chicago, called Woodstock, and we hadn't been in that area since we were little kids (like 5/6 yrs old for me, and a newborn/1, for him)
PA is still hip deep to a giraffe in snow, and we're supposed to get some more cold weather over the weekend. As soon as I can get acclimated to things here, I'll be working on getting to be gainfully employed again.
Thanks for all the positive thoughts. Here's hoping things will improve, although I'm feeling really positive about it.
Also, even though it's not in the same light, I do want to take a moment to remember Leonard Nimoy, who passed away today. He was an amazing actor and director. I didn't know, until I read about his passing on Yahoo!! that he was also a photographer. Spock was one of those characters that helped us to look at ourselves from the outside, by commenting on our state of being at the time.
I also noticed the he ended his Tweets with LLAP (Live Long And Prosper)
Mr. Nimoy, you will be missed, and thought about often, with fondness.
