It started with the card not staying in, like you push on it and something catches it and it stays, push it again and it pops out. That broke.
I have no other camera and thus no choice but to just hold it down and close the battery door, forcing the card in place.
That went on for some while until once day I was reviewing photos on my camera and suddenly the picture I was looking at disappeared. I thought i accidentally deleted it, then it reappeared.
It started flashing between that, and one default photo on the camera itself then suddenly, no more photos from the card.
A piece of the gold colored metal thing that reads it just broke off.
That was months ago.
So many photo ops have come up since then that i started to use my ipad to take photos, except that has a hardware problem, the digitizer is defective and detects me doing all kinds of stuff I'm not actually doing. Which means when i try to take a pic, it moves to video mode, or focuses on a touch i didn't do. Or closes the camera and opens facebook lol the glitch loves facebook
My ipad has been like that for 3 years now, its literally been messed up longer than it was fully functional. Oh apple and your shitty cheap 3rd world put together parts.
Could do nothing about it as it was a gift from my dad (and started going a week after he died...irony).
So I need a new camera, and seeing as I didn't buy the last one (another gift fro my dad) and rarely have that kind of money, it may be some time before i can (I found an even worse digital camera at a garage sale for a buck...the battery door is busted so I literally have to tape the thing shut, but it works until the thing starts to separate again or if I need to change batteries lol. Still its an extreme step down. as old as my first digital camera. And my rechargeable AA batteries don't hold a charge much anymore since i stopped using them when I got my sony cyber shot that had different batteries.
If I do get a new one, i'd like to go a step up and pick one i'd really like. something that can do more than 10 minutes video without turning itself off to save batteries lol
Maybe not a dslr because yikes the prices on those! but something halfway between a dslr and a point and shoot. I wish they still had view finders on the lower end cameras. my first digital camera only had a couple mb but it had a view finder...handy in the sunlight when a screen shows nothing but glare.
I don't even know where to look. As a Canadian I can't really get one on an online US store because shipping is either not shipping here or eegads you'd think I was shipping a whole pallet of stuff. Plus exchange.
Anyone know a good place? I can drool over websites for free anyway lol Even if its a place to help you choose for your needs.
