I like the lighting on the trees now. The bushes look good, as do the mountains.

I think this is a lovely piece of work!

The glare of light on the white moth seems almost too bright I think. It's almost sunshine-ish. I love what you've done with the leaves! THe whole picture is turning out beautifully!

I think it would be good to make the moon more evident, and the moonlight as well (soft highlights and so on). And I'm not too sure about the blowing leaves -- as it is there's a sense of stillness which is nice, like the moths are the only things moving in the night.

Can't think of anything else... I think this looks pretty good!

I agree with the idea of softening the wing edges a bit, though understandably not too much.

Also, it seems that the grass that makes up most of the background is harsh...it looks like it's supposed to be moonlit. Mebbe lighten it or something? :o

But I also wanted to mention...I think this is going to be breathtaking. :love: Have fun!!

Thanks for the comments

The grass is in the shadow of the trees which I why I made it dark, apart from the bit at the back that is still in the light.

Shading on the wings of the white moth a bit.. and perhaps a tiny bit of blur on the edges of the wings along with a tiny bit of motion blur to give some sense of motion to the wings and moths.. Perhaps some kind of firefly lights in the background rather than leaves?

Very best with it.

I'm wondering if you should add some moonshine to the leaves that stick out a bit, or even haloing the canopy a bit. The trees seem far to dark, to me, at least. It doesn't have to be glaringly bright, just a soft highlight perhaps?

The moths themselves are gorgeous! Though I'm wondering if there's enough shadow on the white one's wings (especially in comparison the darker colored one) or even it's whole thorax area looks a tad flat? :O

I look forward to seeing a finished version of this. :)

I was thinking about something in the trees, don't know how I would go about doing it though. I'll see what I can do on the white moth. Thanks for the input.

I guess it would depend on how much time you'd want to spend on this pic. (I'm not sure if you're on a time limit or anything.). I think experimenting with different transparencies of white outlining the leaves might give the desired effect, however this is not something I've done myself, so maybe someone, somewhere has a better suggestion. o.o

Hope it helps. ^^;
