Logo idea by nunt Logo idea by nunt
My current logo idea, it's a dragon in the shape of a J (if you hadn't noticed?

What do you think, could this be my logo?

Even if you don't allow downloads, people can still download. It's called right-click Save As

er... Yes. Even if DA decided to disable right clicking, there's still print-screen. It's the price we must pay. It does stop you downloading at the full print resolution though. Any particular reason you wanted to point this out?

Becuase people like me like to download other people's creations. I have a 2 Gb folder of Dragon related art.

I know there are people out there like you, who enjoy other people's hard work without giving anything back. But I accept it, and hope that in some small way it might end up giving me exposure, which is what an artist really needs.

I give stuff back. When I read really good writing here, I send it to more popular writers (such as James Maxey) and publishers that I'm friends with. I send radical poetry to newspapers that my friends and family work with. And I tell my friends, who spread it themselves.

Is that not giving something back?

well then, it's probably a good thing for the artists that you are able to download their work.

I did recommend you as a cover artist to some people, though I can't remember who anymore. . .

I think it's a great logo, but I couldn't tell it was supposed to be a letter...

I think it will be clearer when seen as part of my name, and its not so important that it's obviously a letter when seen on its own, I hope.

well I guess if you put it beside other letters then you can tell, but my mind doesn't really think in words rather pictures, so maybe it's just me :XD:

I think that's a good logo, it's easy to recognize and (hopefully) easy to reproduce, exactly what a logo should be. :)

thanks. That's good. I'm a bit worried that it might be not be original enough.

It's difficult to have an original logo with a dragon, since they are so common. Even if you aren't planning to add other things I think it will be fine, the proportions seem pretty distinct.

Ugh, yeah sorry. After re-reading what I put that first bit sounded bad. Sometimes I really do screw up what I want to say.

I *do* like it, it is a really nice logo.

I think everyones had a go at the dragon silhoette at some point. There's some marvel character that uses it too it turns out, so if you're planning on making it a logo for yourself just add some initials or something to it.

Would still work if you planned on doing some dragon-themed super hero though...

Oh, right, a J? Yeah, I see that now.
Maybe do a second one that's like your last initial?

I was thinking that, but I can't see a dragon in the shape of a 'B'...

Yeah, that would be tricky... unless you have an asian type dragon, and it's bent around to it's head and tail point towards its belly in a sort of B shape...
