Well whatever they are, I hope they go fantastically!! Giddy Up Llama

(no, actually. The bouncing weirdo on the llama really wasn't necessary.)

Why the pretty journal skin, a handful of cute emoticons,  and (hopefully) an awesome dose of positivity? WELL! Tuesday is actually my birthday. The ol' seventeen. aannd, I wanted to have something to actually do besides stare at a wall :XD:. My friend might be coming over and we may be making coffee mugs... so I'm stoked and hope that actually pulls through! If you don't all know, I love my mornin' cup of joe. (oh my goodness! I AM a poet: That so rhymed! :XD:  ... .... ...:shot: )

So! Help me out maybe? Not sure how? Well! You're in luck! I've made a list!

Ways to help Kelsi not be bored out of her mind:

:bulletpink: Ask me questions!! No seriously! I actually love when you guys can better get to know me! Have a question about my daily routine? What color my toothbrush is? Do I have lucky underwear? Send me a note/comment with your questions, and I'm sure I'll be giggling and answering with a smile! Or maybe I'll post a journal of the questions (all anonymous, of course) just for the fun of it! So who knows: the more funky and random, the more party fun we might be having ;) Oh goodness, kidding.

(And just to save you guys some time: no, I don't have lucky underwear. Alas, I'm not that special. sigh )

:bulletpink: REQUEST SOMETHING! Please? for my sanity. It's free!

I haven't been able to write crap recently. I will draw you stuffs! Warning: I usually draw stick figures, but I'll try my best! I actually drew someone a horse for Christmas (hey, poor kid syndrome, right here) and she was actually surprised. No it wasn't a stick figure. Though I did mess up that one eye. But seriously! Just give me a random word/subject to draw for you, and I'll upload it here! Even if it's, say... a cucumber. Um.. no promises that will even look remotely good.

Not into drawing and want to take your chances? Give me a writing prompt, and I'll see what I can do!

Think someone deserves feedback or a note of love? Teelllll meeee. I'll rush over there and give them a letter so long,  congress would be proud of me!

Why yes, I'm actually tired. Thank you for asking.

(Requests done so far: Kiss the Girl by Nullibicity  )

:bulletpink: >>>> Maybe, possibly, give me quotes to go on that mug? I was thinking of making a dA mug with a bunch of positive snippets to just brighten my day! So if you would like to add a word you think best describes me, or a wonderfully positive image (like, say, sunshine) I think that could be really cool! I'd definitely post a picture to show you guys how it went. But maybe don't expect anything too great: I love being artistic, but that doesn't necessarily mean I'm good at it. As long as it's fun, right? Right!

:bulletpink: I actually just got a facebook. Maybe we could be -gasp- friends? This one might actually have to wait... it's really sad... but guys, I'm almost seventeen, and my friend is going to have to teach me how to use facebook. I'm just so.. I'm a failure D: . Ha, but when I do get it up and running, feel free to look for me! I'll give you more info when I actually learn what the heck I'm doing.

:bulletpink: Ask me to tell you a funny story. I actually so would... but I'm just getting tired and desperate here. Moving on.

:bulletpink: Tell me what would make your New Years Eve fantastic! If it's within my power/capability, I'll try my best to do it! Really! Don't be shy! I love helping where I can! :huggle:

I kind of ran out of things now. Maybe sometime a live chat might be fun... but I dunno.

I'm running on just about two hours of sleep, so I should probably turn in.. or take it easy so I don't do something drastic... like poke my eye out.

I love you all so much! Thank you for all of your continuous support!! It really means the world to me. You've all helped so much. :snuzzle: V3 :heart:

So, tell me: what are your New Years Eve plans? :rose:

(and if you think anyone else could benefit from me, please link me to them, or link them here!)

Plans for 2014 = save the world, nature and all living creatures with humankind.  =)

Question: are you still using fluoride toothpaste or drinking fluoridated water?!!! I hope not.

Sounds like you've got a lot on your plate, then! I wish you the best of luck!

I sincerely hope you can meet your goals. I think with such passionate people looking out for the world... well, then there's hope for us yet, right?

Thanks so much for taking your time to comment! I always enjoy hearing from people~

As for your question: I use a Crest toothpaste. I believe it has some fluoride in it. But it's not like I swallow the toothpaste; it goes right down the drain when I'm done.  Can I ask why it's bad?

I'm pretty sure the water is good. However, I'm not 100% positive. I live in a smaller town that thrives off of mountain water, due to the vast amount of mountain reservoirs that we possess.

There is always hope...

Fluoride is a toxic poison that causes serious health problems. They put it into water, toothpaste and other things such as chewing gum and lots more. In a few words it is a toxic acid industrial waste, in europe it is widely banned.
There are many source of information on the internet, also documentary. Maybe you could start seek info here fluoridealert.org/new-visitors… or here www.infiniteunknown.net/2010/1…

If you say so then your water tap should be clean but precautions are never enough.
I do not want to worry or bother you with those fact, I just felt the need to warn you, that is all.
If you prefer to not  talk about this I understand and I also do not want to talk always of negative thing but they need to be known I believe.

Well I guess I annoyed you enough x)

I'm really happy everything is going well for you! <3 I'm finally going to be meeting up with some friends for New Years Eve, so I'm pretty happy about that c:

Wait, i don't even think i've ever talked to you before! :ohnoes: i really love your work if that means anything though, haha. my name is jen by the way <3 your work is super inspiring!

so yeah, question! what's your favorite thing to write about? i know some people don't really have a specific favorite, but idk, maybe you have a topic that continually inspires you or that you enjoy writing about? I like hearing about things like that c:

I hope your New Years Eve is wonderful! <3 Happy holidays!

Hello, then, lovely :rose:

It's a pleasure to meet you, Jen, and I'm so ecstatic that you decided to take your time and leave me such a wonderful message :huggle:. I love new friends!

Your New Years Eve plans sound wonderful! I hope everything goes well~ Feel free to tell me about it sometime afterwards, if you'd like! I enjoy hearing how everyone is doing.

Aw. Thank you so much! Your words... they are so kind and generous. I really, really want to thank you: I've been in a month-long writer's slump, and so your kindness is so very appreciated. It actually makes me feel motivated to try and write more, so thank you so much! I don't know... it's so much easier, I think, to create when someone appreciates the contents of those creations.

Thank you, again! I just really enjoyed and appreciated your comment :giggle: it was a refreshing start to my day.

As for the questions: I don't necessarily have a favorite thing to write about, but usually sea and dreams are inspiring of words! Mostly, my writing is just self expression or personal.. but I'd have to say a favorite thing of mine (more like a goal, and whether I succeed or not, it's still worth it) is to try and make the hurt or the ugly into something beautiful. I think it's a lot easier to view it, then! I also like the challenge

It seems you write, too! What are your favorite things to write about, and what motivates you? If it's okay of me to ask.

Have a wonderful day! :rose:

It's nice to meet you as well! <3 I'm usually a quiet watcher so it's nice to get to know you c:

Thank you so much! That's really kind of you ^^ Hopefully it will all run smoothly!

You're so welcome! <3 I'm glad they helped!trust me, I know what it's like to be in a writing slump haha. just keep on trying and i know you'll make it out soon! <3 What i always do (and it doesn't always work, but I can try) is just write whatever comes to mind. It's usually not any good, but it helps me get creative and into writing again. c: As for inspiration, it can be pretty hard to find. but i've found that you can find it anywhere if you look hard enough. <3

Of course~ I'm really glad! :aww:

That's really interesting! i think that's a really nice thought, turning negative emotions into beauty. It brings hope, in a way. I really like that c:

Indeed I do! :giggle: For some reason, I find myself very inspired by fire (ash, smoke, etc.) and ink. The images are just... well, i don't know exactly, i just find them very poetic and inspiring to write about haha. I'm trying to branch out into other things because I'm starting to overuse those ideas, lol. For motivation- sometimes, i'm not really sure. I just want to write; it's a weird feeling. I'm not really talented in anything else, so I want to be the best writer that I can be. it helps me sort my thoughts, deal with emotions, and just makes me calmer. I like being inspired, and i want to be able to inspire others as well. <3

You as well! You're such a nice person; I'm really happy to finally talk to you properly! :huggle:

Hey, there's nothing wrong with being quiet, sometimes! I have those people, too (whom I watch)... where I just sit back and enjoy :giggle: or sometimes, I honestly can't think of what to say. There are so many amazing writers and artists out there who constantly render me speechless! I completely understand. but I really do enjoy getting to know my watchers on a different level.. it's like a big family!

Thank you for all of the tips! I'll try that! We'll see if I can produce something. I've been in a fantastic mood for the past two days, so I think something okayish is in the making!! I don't know.. sometimes when I write some of my favorite pieces, I get this lump that swells and crests within me like a piece of sea. And it's building, so I hope I can ride that wave for all it's worth! If not, oh well! :giggle: I'll just have to wait for the next one!

Oh! I adore the way you put that!  Thanks for sharing your perspective! ah. I just love hearing other people's opinions and views, and the way you worded that was true beauty. It also really appealed to me! I may have to use that, now, if someone ever asks

Oh I actually can totally see the appeal: Both are active and alive in ways the human mind can only marvel over. They both create. However, just like fire... words can destroy, too. An interesting concept to ponder over, actually!

I feel the same way, actually: writing feels like my only talent. However.. You are undoubtedly talented in other things! They may not be necessarily artistic, but they are there! I bet you're very talented in helping others, and bringing calm and smiles! You just strike me as that type of person through your words...I could be wrong..but I have one of those gut feelings :giggle:

Ah! Another person with similar wishes! :glomp: I wish to be inspired daily. If I can inspire others, too... that is just the deepest and most blissful satisfaction.

:happycry: thank you so much! All of your compliments and sentiments are just so overwhelming in their sincerity and kindness. Perhaps we can become good friends, if you'd like. and sorry to be a creep in the way I ask :giggle: I just find that if I don't come out and say it, my intents or thoughts may never come across.

Haha, thanks, I know what you mean! There are some people whose work I always comment on, and then there are people I watch who intimidate me sometimes. :XD: I agree! I love when my watchers interact with me. I always get overly excited when I see a feedback message :lmao:

No problem! I really hope they help! I'm really glad! I love the way you described that, by the way c: I know the feeling; sometimes, when I start writing out an idea, I just know it's going to be one of my best and it feels wonderful. Those are my favorite to write; they make me feel so energetic and happy, I love it! It's the worst when you end up messing up a piece you had high hopes for, but eventually you end up recovering <3

You're very welcome! :aww: And aww, you're such a sweetheart  Thank you~

I absolutely love how you put that! They're so enigmatic in their own ways and you just described them very well. Thank you for the insight, it's inspiring!

 Ohh my gosh, that's one of the most encouraging things I've heard in a long time. You certainly have that talent yourself! You just brought a huge smile to my face, thank you so much :tighthug:

:huggle: I agree completely! I'm inspired by so much that I'm trying my make it a goal to inspire others as well. It's an amazing feeling to know that you affected someone in such a deep way <3 I'm not quite there yet, but hopefully I'm well on my way! :giggle:

Likewise! Talking to you is an absolute pleasure :glomp: I'd love to be friends! You're one of the most talented people I've met on dA, and your kindness and joy are positively contagious :giggle: It's not creepy at all, don't worry! :huggle: It would be a pleasure to be friends

I actually don't have any plans yet XD must start searching. I can't spend my new years alone watching the ball drop on tv! :noes:

Question for you! Since I'm guessing you're in high school, do you know what you want to do when you graduate? If you're going to university, do you know what you want to study? Not sure if it's too early to be asking =P but if you have no answer thennnnnn what are your new year resolutions?

I wish you good luck in your search!! :tighthug: I'm sure you'll find something enjoyable to do with that lovely, creative mind of yours!

If it's super fun, feel free to tell me about it sometime! I really enjoy listening to people share their stories~

Yes, I'm a junior. As for occupation... I'm still torn. I do know, however, that I want my job to spread positivity! I've been leaning more towards Psychiatry, though. I've been contemplating coaching people and maybe physical therapy. I'm not still sure, ha, but I think right now it's looking like I'm going to be a drug dealer :giggle:. The university in town actually has won awards for its psychological programs, so I think that's pretty convenient! It'll definitely help! That, and I won't actually have to pay for dorm rooms... though, I think I want to rent an apartment with four other friends. Not sure how that will work out, but at least if it turns sour, I can then return home for the duration of my education. (:

As for New Years resolutions... hmmm. I usually don't make them, because I'm usually so horrible about remembering them, and then keeping them. I think I'm making one this year, however: I want to be more healthy this year. I don't look out for myself that well. So I'm going to relax more, eat healthier, and make sure my environment is more organized and comfortable! I also want to embrace more people this year! I'm still not entirely sure how: I always get this urge to help others, but I'm never sure how. I think I may start a YouTube channel. Just for the handfuls who want some positivity. Maybe I can help some others that way? Other than that.. I'm always clueless how to help. Maybe I'll figure something out in the future!

What about you? I assume you're out of university? What did you decide to major in? What are your New Years resolutions, if you make them?

And thanks so much for asking me questions, lovely! :rose: I really enjoy conversing with others. I sometimes am just the most awkward person in instigating conversation :giggle: I hope your holidays were marvelous, and I hope the New Year brings with it much happiness and joy for you and your loved ones.

Best wishes!

Thank you! I'm sure something will come up.
I most certainly will, though I'm not sure how interesting it will be haha

That seems to fit your personality really well, from what I know about you - you're so sweet and caring and looking out for others, so I think you would be good at that :) It's really convenient to live near your university, but sometimes I feel like I'm missing out on college life by not living in a dorm.

Haha maybe you should write them down! I'll probably forget mine too at some point though.. That sounds like a good plan. I'm also like that, I haven't been taking care of myself, so part of my resolution is to relax, eat a bit better, do some yoga, etc.. A youtube channel sounds fun though! Not sure how you might help others that way, but I'm sure you can come up with something with that creative mind of yours :) But if you're looking for really unoriginal ways to help people, you can always consider volunteer work or something like that. Over the summer I volunteered at a senior center and not only were the staff so grateful to have my help but the seniors were also so happy to have a young face around - I think they're pretty lonely people so it's important to them.

Goodness no, I've barely just started university! :giggle: (do I come across as being in my late twenties or something? How bizarre) I'm majoring in Neuroscience, about to start my second semester. Pretty different from most writers on deviantART who are all studying English Lit or whatever. But I'm also pretty clueless about a career - I know I'm going to end up in research but I have no idea what kind I'm interested in. I already mentioned a bit about my resolutions but the main thing is to improve my mental wellbeing, since I've been kind of high strung lately. I also want to try to be more active around deviantart and be on top of my school work (we'll see how long that lasts...).

My pleasure! :aww: I want to try to get to know people around here a bit better, but I'm also kind of awkward so I'm not good at talking to people unless given the opportunity like this XD

Right back at you!

No, no, lovely! I wouldn't even know what to ask for. I feel that your constant love and support is the most wonderful present I could receive. And I've received that...so I am 100% content and grateful! In fact, I'm one of the happiest people right now with all of the love I'm getting. You are just fantastic

However, I sometimes get that overwhelming urge to give someone something no matter what they say. If that's the case with you, perhaps we could do a writing exchange? I feel neck-deep in writer's block, but I think if it was you.. I could probably turn out something worthy. I wouldn't let it out of my grasp until it was, at least :giggle:.

(I'm also sorry I haven't replied to your note, yet! I've been a bit distracted with the holidays and all. I'll try to reply today or tomorrow. Thanks so much for your outstanding patience!)

And my. You make me laugh :tighthug: thank you! I hope your holidays were superb, love! I can't wait to catch up :heart:

We could definitely do a writing exchange, specially if it could help you with the block :)
I know way too well what that is, but hey, perhaps because it's for you I'll just stop being silly and actually write something! haha

I'm very glad you're happy, hopefully you'll have a wonderful birthday! As for the mug I'm terrible with "pick-me-up things". My boyfriend's mug has a: Don't f*ck with the cook. But I don't know how you feel about strong language, I found it funny the first time I saw it haha Still, write whatever makes you feel better as long as you're having fun that's all that matters.

And please Kelsi, no rush about the note. I assumed you were busy :) we should discuss about the trade on our next notes, since I have never done a trade before and that's kind of exciting! haha

I think it would definitely help! I'll note you after I finish with some more replies (about time, right? Gosh I'm so slow sometimes!)

Hey, there's nothing wrong with silly! I enjoy everything silly and weird: Life is too short and fun for a day full of "serious."

I don't really care about strong language versus soft language. To me, they are just words. I think the intent behind them matters far more than the word itself! I have friends that swear like sailors and friends that don't swear at all... it's really just who you are. So I don't mind! :giggle: and thanks for the advice! I'll be sure to do so. I already made a mug, and it was symbolic of a really close friend of mine on here. I hope to make several more, though! They're really fun to make, and I enjoy seeing them every morning when I have my cup of tea or coffee. It's just a fantastic reminder!

Oh don't worry: I haven't done a trade, either! So no expectations... except for of fun! I think this might be a blast! Well, there's probably no "might" about it :giggle:. I'm excited, for sure!

Oh oh oh. Shark-raffe!

My plans are boring. I will probably be asleep by about 10 pm. :p I will probably have a drink of malibu before then, though, as a tester for my Christmas/birthday bash on the 4th -- it'll be the first time I've had any real alcohol on my current medication regime!

If you're speaking of your contest.. I took a look! I'm really not good at drawing, but I think it'd be fun to try! I'll see what I can do :giggle:

Oh! I'm willing to donate llamas and comments, by the way... if you want. If not, no worries!

...oh! I can also give 30 points! Someone was nice enough to give them to me recently.. But that's only if you want. I really don't mind whether you want to utilize them or not... just thought I'd offer, since it seems like a contest near and dear to you

Oh wow! That's reason for celebration!! I really hope that  bash goes well. It sounds like it will be amazing fun~ and you deserve that, most definitely! May you be surrounded with love and smiles on your birthday. And the alcohol is definitely a plus :giggle: it is just fun to celebrate in all forms! I'm so happy for you! :tighthug: Best wishes!

(and that doesn't sound boring! I love the simple, stay-at-home days, too. Sometimes just taking a day to relax is superb and healthy!)

Eee, I can't wait to see what you come up with! :D It doesn't matter if you think you're not a brilliant artist, it doesn't matter if your skill level is stick figures. :D

(I should probably do my own version of a shark-raffe at some point, shouldn't I? Since I'm all about "skill level doesn't matter". :p)

Thank you so much for the prizes donations! I think, keep your points because I'll be throwing in an indeterminate number of my own (100+) and it was never meant to be a big points prize, but I'll definitely include the llamas and comments, thank you hon! :huggle:

I'm sure it will, thank you! It's exciting, the first time we've really had a bigger than one friend get together, lol. It's not much bigger though, to be honest -- we're calling it our big birthday/christmas bash, but in truth there will be 7 people and 1 dog.. and one of those people will be a toddler! Haha. And even funnier -- it's my birthday on the 13th, my friend Emma's on the 23rd, my partner's on the 30th and then his mate's on the 11th of Feb! :giggle:

Cute journal skin! And yes, the bouncing weirdo on the llama WAS necessary! I collect quotes, so if you want one on a particular subject to put on your mug, I'm your gal. I would be wary about the attributions to who said it, though, since I get the bulk of my quotes off the internet...
*gasp* a facebook??? We should totally be friends!!! Send me a note and I'll give you my full name to look up! I'm like a tigger-- I'm the only one! I just don't trust public forums... :shifty:
My New Year's Eve promises to be fantastic as I will be spending it not only with my family, but also with my wonderful boyfriend, which means for the first time ever I will get a New Year's kiss! :squee:
DA was reminding me that it was your birthday! I would love to do something special for you, but I have no ideas... if you want to request something from me, I would be more than happy to make something for you! Also, if you want a request, how about you draw for me your favorite Disney character, or your OTP? I'd be more than happy to do an art exchange, if you'd like! Happy birfday!

:giggle: I love quotes! Sometimes they just put words to a subject you've been trying to figure out. They're also so inspiring! I adore them.

Hmm... I was trying to collect some adjectives... adjectives that people thought described me. I've only gotten a few so far, but I'm so grateful! It's enough to probably work, too! So.. hmm. Do you have any quotes in that beautiful, lovely mind of yours that pertain to either being yourself, or seeing the good side of things? I'm just looking for something short and sweet that can brighten a day and produce a smile! Sorry that's so vague ^^; No worries if you can't find anything, either! It's not that big of a deal

 Oh my. That "like a tigger" comment. I needed that laugh :XD: thanks! I actually haven't looked my full name up.. I'll do it now. Well.. excluding the middle name because I didn't use it. Seems a bit too personal to use it, I feel. But that's just me! Hmm..I'm not that special :giggle:. Even with the first name :XD:. I feel so bad, though...I've got like 32 friend requests... because I guess it alerts people when someone you may know joins? Either way...I'm like..."I don't know how to use this yet T^T." Hopefully they'll understand!

Oooh! Sounds like a challenge!!! I like the idea of an art exchange! I'm not sure about my own writing right now.. but I'll definitely try and draw you something! No promises of sparkly-glittery goodness -_- but I think it will be a fun distraction! I think I know what I want to draw, too!

As for you: if you want to draw or write something, feel free! I really don't mind what kind of art it is. That, and I've never requested something before... so I'm not quite sure what to ask for. Plus I know you'll be with your man ;) so don't worry about it for now! :giggle: but if something ever goes into your mind.. feel free to do it! I promise I love anything and everything. The thought alone is enough to make me love and smile :tighthug:

Aw. Thank you, love!!! I think it might be one of my more memorable birthdays with all of this amazing support I'm receiving.

I always have a ton of quotes, and you're not too vague! Here's some I hope fit what you're looking for: "Courage isn't always the lion's roar, sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying 'I will try again tomorrow.'" No worries about the facebook, just find me when you can! Also, I fully endorse pirate language, but only after at least a year once you know where everything is, or else you'll be endlessly confused. It's super-fun, though.

I think I might have an idea of something to draw you, but it might be a while. In the meantime, don't be afraid to remind me or ask me how it's coming so that I actually stay on top of it for you. :giggle:

Once again, happy birfday!!!! Hug :happybounce: Have your cake and eat it too Party

I have the biggest smile on my face just reading your journal. Gosh it's been too long since we talked! Happy early birthday! :tighthug:

Questions: What are you most excited for coming up in 2014 (I have a guess, but I'll wait to see what you reply!)? Favorite book that you read this year? Favorite present you got? Have you seen Frozen? If no, why not??? Go see it! How have you been? Has everything been alright? Any interesting things happen? Love life going smoothly? :D

Words from me on your mug: Important. Sweet as Pie. Fantastic. Beautiful (No really, you are). Special. Talented. Amazing. Worth it.

Gasp! Let's be friends! Text me when you figure facebook out or when you want to friend me/have me friend you ^^

Some friends of mine and I were planning on having a super classy New Years party, but we haven't really worked out any details, so if we don't get that done I guess I'll be hanging out with some church friends.

Happy Birthday! :D

Did you know that if you get white mugs and Sharpie markers, you can decorate them and just heat them in the oven to set them?! I'm going to do some because I love tea and I think it would be fun. :happybounce:

As helpful and as lovely as ever, Miss Ellie! Thank you so much! I think I will try that!

Originally, my friend and I were going to try painting the mugs. If you evidently do the right preparation, you can heat them in the oven enough to set them permanently. I'm hoping it will work... but I definitely like the idea of sharpies! There are many color options... and it just seems like fun!

Thank you so much! You are always so kind, dearheart! I hope your New Years Eve is brilliant :huggle::rose:

(and my. Tea is delicious! I really enjoy the green teas. So much deliciousness in one cup! It's heaven :giggle:)

There are so many options for decorating mugs and other items that it's a little difficult to pick one to start with. I've opted for the Sharpie idea because I can get all the materials quite easily and if I mess up, it won't matter too much. And as you said, the color range is just delightful. :la:

Thank you!

I don't have any real plans for New Years Eve, but I rarely celebrate it so I'm not too fussed. I like the idea of waking up to a new day, a new year, a new chance. :meow:

(I'm rather partial to English-Irish teas. :giggle:)

I actually told  my sister about the Sharpie idea! I really appreciate your help there: She made a lovely, cute little mug. It's adorable. Sometimes I wish I was as good with drawing as she is. I still made something I enjoy, though. I want to make so many more now, too :giggle:

If I can ask... how did yours go?

Of course!

(Oh those sound delightful! I don't always have the money, so sometimes I just drink what I have... but that really sounds scrumptious! Any particular suggestions? I might have to pick some up!)

That's great!

I haven't had a go yet, been a bit short on cash. :grump:

(I mostly drink Twinings. Huge range of flavors.)
