Contest Closed/Not Run.

So Final update on the contest.. and a bit of a sad one and first for me running a contest on DA... The extension date has come, been extended again and once more, come.
As such I have had to make the annoying decision to not run the contest as it did not meet the minimum number of entries aimed for.
It confuses me considering the popularity of the games and the uptake on all my previous contests has always been enthusiastic if I did something wrong this time, caught everyone at s bad time of year....I just don't know.

So in sticking to my rules the contest is now close and I will have to rethink any future contests.
A big thankyou to those who did submit an entry, I will be in contact with you personally shortly but the contest is now closed

Closing Time:

The competition starts now and ends Midnight February 28th UK time (GMT).

All entries should be submitted via note or message on this journal to me by this time.

ANYONE on DA can enter.

You can submit as many entries as you like but only one/1 can make it to the final 3.

Rules:

All work must be your own and a new piece of work created after the posting of this contest.
Your work must be posted to DA.
Collaborations are welcome but division of prizes would need to be agreed by all involved.

You must include at least one major character, and include some kind of scene/background, remember,
However I do urge all entries to contain more than just one character or be some sort of group or action shot as I have to animate the winning piece.. give me something to work with

Resources from DA/elsewhere must be credited (if I cannot be 100% sure then your piece will not be accepted).

For the contest to run a minimum of 10 entries by individual people will be required else the contest will either get extended or cancelled at my discretion.

The Medium:

Almost all visual mediums will be accepted, Traditional/Digital/Mixed/Photography/3D etc.

Sadly this does Exclude Film and Animation, and all non Visual mediums.

Additionally no use of official art work (other than the game title/text/script, You can RECREATE the official art work but all work must be your own.).

3D/SFM/XNALara Models can be used HOWEVER!!! (that means they have to be modified/painted over enough to be unrecognizable, so no pure 3D pieces will be accepted.

An example for XNALara being modified enough is this.

Submittions:

To submit your piece(s) all you have to do is note/message me with the link and put mention of this contest in the description of your entry.

Considerations:

The last point to make is to be aware I will be editing/cutting up the winning piece to animate it, as such (and more for you digital folks),
if you can keep your individual layers as much as possible then please do so, it helps in the animation process.
