The Crested Caracara is a bird of prey that belongs to the Falconidae family. Their scientific name is Caracara plancus and live in Mexico. Its' called the "Mexican Eagle" and appears on the flag of Mexico. Its habitat are open savannahs and deserts. They eat insects, small animals, lizards, amphibians and eats carrion, often seen on the ground with vultures. They lay 2-4 pinky-brown eggs with dark blotches and are incubated for 28 days. They're 23 inches in length and have a wingspan of 50 inches.
