This scene was completely inspired by a long morning of following the ridge behind Lagunas de Baru in Costa Rica, when the sun was just getting up behind the mountains and the fertile slopes were soaked with warm sunrays among mists.

my computer gets very slow with 1280*1280 terrains :'(
what's your secret? :p

Big bad computer!! :XD:

I'll try and post some tips on how to work with heavy terrains on a low-end computer.

i'm thinking about changing my core2duo 6600 and 2gb with core2quad 6600 and 4 gb :p

If you can, go for the new Core i7!! It's WAY better than the 6600 (that's what I had before I got my i7)

wow I love this!! The lighting and the fog/haze settings are perfect! I just wonder....how many lights did you use in this scene? And what type of lights? :D (time to learn )
The texture of the terrain looks interesting; I like it!

Thanks so much!

I used only one light - the main Sunlight. About 90% of the time, I only use one light. Using only one light makes sure you have VERY realistic lighting. It makes things hard from one point-of-view, but it also keeps less things to worry about because you need to manage only one light.

The terrain texture is the same as in the "Material and Terrain Test" I posted before this one. The terrain was made in World Machine 2. :)

My Haze amount was 8%, believe it or not. I played with Aerial Perspective more than anything else in this one, and the Glow.
