Description
Tastavinsaurus sanzi form the Early Cretaceous of Spain. Announced in February 2008, the description of this sauropod has been finally published in the September 2008 edition of the Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology. It is known from a partial articulated skeleton from the back part of an adult animal and has been diagnosed as being a titanosauriform (the clad that contains both brachiosaurs and titanosaurs) related to the North American Venenosaurus. It measured about 10 m in lenght. Rendering of the background made using Terragen (thanks to
for the suggestion).

Interesting... nice background BTW. Based on the shape of all the published bones I would expect Tastavinsaurus to look a lot more like a brachiosaur though (even if it technically isn't one).
