Coelurus fragilis, a small hunter (2.5 meter long) from the Late Jurassic of North America constitutes some kind of an enigma among the coelurosaurs, his fragmental remains displaying a mixture of primitive and advanced characters. Its neck structure is closer to the compsognathids but its hands are like those of the maniraptorans. Recently, it was suggested to be closely related to the Tyrannosauroids.

First time I've seen it with feathers, but it looks perfect. :)

It's phylogeetic position is uncertain between the tyrannosauroids and the compsognathid, so the feathers are rather speculative...

Yes, but probably not as evolved as in the dromaeosaurs...
