OLD LACE’S LAST RIDE!!!

Some of you are aware. But I sold Old Lace at Otakon 2012. It was extremely heart wrenching to do so because she has been with me for over a year, mostly coming with me to cons whenever I had room in the car. This specific plush was the reason I started doing the plushie business, and also a big thanks to the encouragement of the Inner Mind Theatre after they saw OL at our Runaways shoot Youmacon 2011. The catalyst to everything.

I was literally in tears giving her up to this lovely couple. But they wanted to give her to their two year old son to play with. They understood how much she meant to me and have frequently been sending me lovely pictures of their son with OL. It made it possible for me to let her go. To make this little boy happy. It was worth it.

I’m in the process of making her again because…..i can’t bear to be without her…..and for whenever we decide to do Runaways again….

I finally got some good pics of Old Lace. Just in time too.

Old Lace made by me!

This is the best Old Lace plush I've seen! Do you know what kind of fabric you used? It just looks so great on her! I'm sorry to hear that you let her go, but at least he'll bring happiness to the child:)

Thank you so much! OL's fabric is like tye dyed fleece material both in brown and blue! I couldn't find any dino scaled looking material and i wanted to give her some texture. I don't know how i came up with it. I just looked at it and it sorta clicked!

I already have material for another OL! :D so hopefully that will fill the hole!!!

That's such an awesome plushie and I don't think I would be able to bear to part with something I was so proud of making like that. But, it's nice that you're making a kid happy, and it's awesome that you're making a new one!

it was the only why i would let go of it. I seriously brought her to just show off my skills in plush making. Never in my wildest dreams did i mean to sell her! And I don't feel right not having her around so i've already bought material for her :D

:highfive:

Hey, how much do you charge for commissions? Because my friends who costume DC superheroes for charity need a Ch'p. Well, they don't need one, but I want to... acquire one for them.
