mini-hamu.deviantart.com/art/J…The greatest city in the world can, at times, also be the loneliest. When I first moved to Manhattan, I was an avid Facebooker to about 1000 Friends. I shared my NYC experiences with them through photography. What they, or I for that matter, weren’t aware of at the time was that I wasn’t just sharing my journey with them. I realized later that I was posting my photographs for me, as a coping mechanism, to being alone in an unfamiliar place. By having an “audience,” so to speak, I never felt lonely, scared, or stressed. Even getting lost in the city was fun, as long as I had my camera. My Friends enjoyed my posts, and I received many compliments on my photos. Most of them will never know just how much it meant to me to me just having them there.
Since then, I’ve given up Facebook (with a heartfelt TY post, trying to convey what I just told you) for other, more genre specific social networks (like this one).
Thank you for having me. I look forward to being a part of the community.
P.S; I also produce electronic music; mostly structured, vocal-ready instrumentals for Hip Hop. However, no genre is off-limits. I’ve tried my hand (and ears) at quite a few. I’ve included my SoundCloud URL, below. Thanx, again. 🙂
