Here is the second Evil Team That I’ll make for this AU. Think of this as the Black and White 2 of this Team. I’ll leave a link to the first Evil Team for this AU in the description. Now let’s get to it!
This takes place around two to four years after the events of the first Evil Team attack. This time, you have to deal with a new Evil Team; Team Hypnos. The overall appearence is mainly based of a mix of hypnotist and pajamas, if you can imagine. At first, they come as helpful as they volunteer to heal sleep deprived Pokémon and Trainers, kinda like a Nurse Joy outside the Pokémon Center, But Later you find out that they were secretly hypnotizing them into becoming part of the team. The grunts also seem to be in a slight daze, like they just woke up from bed. The Pokemon they’ll use consist of Psychic type Pokémon or Pokémon that know Hypnosis. The team has around four admins which, I’ll get to in a bit.
Purpose in the plot:
Your first encounter with Team Hypnos overall would happen in Route 2, mainly on your way to the first major city. You see two grunts (one boy and one girl) somewhere in the middle of the route, healing some Pokémon owned by trainers in the area. When you speak to a couple of the NPCs in the area, they tell you that Team Hypnos is quite generous for healing your Pokémon and it saves a bit of time from trying to make it to the nearest Pokémon Center. You keep hearing these praises from some more NPCs up until you beat the second gym leader. (I might make a gym leader thing if I could think of it) As you’re walking out of the gym, you see a Team Hypnos grunt enter some kind of grotto. Out of curiosity, you follow him. Once you make it inside, you see two grunts cornering a Minccino, forcing it to go to sleep. You confront them and they challenge you to a battle. After you defeat the two, one of them would say to the other that the “area boss” is not gonna like this and worries that you’ll expose the team. The second one Yawns a bit and replies with “Why would anyone believe him/her? They’re a child”. The two rush off and the Pokémon Thanks you by giving you an HM, Cut.
A bit later, you managed to beat the third gym leader. It felt a bit different though. All of his Pokémon had a sleep status and the gym leader himself was like he was in a daze. You shake it off and head to Route 8. This Route has a lot of Dark types. While you were training or getting more data for the PixalDex (This version of the Pokédex), you notice a couple of Hypnos grunts as well as a new face; an admin. The admin was Kai! Weird, he would never join a villainous team like that....would he? When you confront him, he introduces himself to you, and challenges you to a battle. After you defeat him, he shakes his head. He seemed to be mentally fighting something. The grunts notice this and rush him off, saying that this won’t be the last time you’ll see them and nobody would believe you. You were still confused, but venture off to the next city regardless.
Later on, you managed to beat the fourth gym leader, and notice that she was acting weird as well. That's when you notice that her eyes were glazed over, a common symptom of hypnosis. Once you make it to the next route, you see a Hypnos member in disguise rush by with something. You then decide to chase him. Keep in mind that grunts are in the area healing pokemon for trainers and at this point have started a rumor about you stealing Trainer Pokemon whenever you won a battle, resulting in trainers refusing to battle with you. Once you manage to catch the crook, you remove his hat. It was Jay! He yells at you that you are intervening with the plan and then challenges you to a fight. After you defeat him, he shakes his head, like he was mentally fighting something. A grunt nearby manages to catch him and then yells loudly that you were gonna steal his Pokemon. The trainers in the area surround you, giving the two Hypnos members time to escape. You are then forced to battle four trainers in a row. After you manage to beat the trainers, you rush off to the next city. Then you realize that this encounter was strikingly similar to the one in Route 8. Why would Jay be working with these people and why would the team start a rumor about you being a thief? You kept a side note to try and get answers for these questions later.
While in the next city, you notice on one of the tvs is that not only were there missing posters of Kai, Jay and even Cole spread throughout the Region, but that there was a report about you being a thief and were warning people to stay away from you. Before you make it to the fifth gym leader, you are encountered by another Hypnos admin; Cole! He challenges you to a fight. After you defeat him, he shakes his head and flees. Once you make it to the gym leader, he flat out admits that he knows you're not a thief and Team Hypnos are evil. This gym leader is Neuro, the Psychic type Gym Leader. He then proposes a deal; If you beat him in battle, not only would you get the badge like normal, but he will join you and help you stop Team Hypnos. You agree to his wager and manage to beat him. Neuro, keeps his word and joins you in stopping Team Hypnos.
Later on in Route 12, you encounter Cole (Still under the hypnosis) who was heading to some kind of building in the area. This building is a dream research center and once you arrive to it, it is filled with Hypnos grunts. You and Neuro manage to defeat the grunts and make it to the floor where the scientists are kept. The scientists didn't seem to be in any danger as they were working on something for Team Hypnos. You can immediately tell that they were under the Team's spell. That's when you notice the fourth admin, Zane. Cole rushes in and says that Jay managed to steal the blueprints from Imperium Labs (The HQ for Team Imperium) and are almost ready for a weapon to work. Zane nods and says something about the weapon, mainly the weapon being used on the entire population in order to summon a legendary Pokemon. He then notices you and Neuro and tells Cole that they have intruders. That's when you start a double battle with Cole and Zane. After you defeat them, the Team flees and the scientists are free from the control. One of the scientists thanks you and hands you a Master Ball, saying that the item was brought back from a dream someone had while they were working on a machine. You take the ball and head off to the next city.
After you manage to beat the sixth gym leader, you are informed by Neuro that the hideout for Team Hypnos is in the city. You make it to the city's PokeMart. In the back of the store, you can see a Hypnos grunt in disguise guarding a poster. After a quick battle, the grunt flees out of the store. Neuro removes the poster to reveal a button and pressed it, revealing a hidden staircase. The hideout is full of grunts as well as half of the admins. Once you and Neuro fight your way past the grunts and half the admins, you finally make it to the boss. The boss' name is Mezmero, and is about in his late twenties and has short smooth black hair. He congratulates you on making it to him and has this unsettling smile on his face. Once he realizes that Neuro is with you, he says that it would be considered cheating if you teamed up on him and is a sign of weakness. He then starts muttering something at Neuro. You look over at Neuro who was looking like he was in a daze. He was being hypnotized. Neuro slowly walks over to Mezmero. That's when you get the picture. You had to beat him and Neuro, one vs two. You manage to defeat him. Mezmero laughs, releases Neuro and says that the battle was just to stall you. He then says that the next step of his plan was to infiltrate the Borg Tower and use the weapon at the top of the building. He then snaps his fingers and you and Neuro mysteriously pass out.
