Hello! I hope a critique is OK!

Merry #CRITMAS !

First, your art is great, and i love that it is not AI :-) :-) but of course those two things are why i watch you...

This piece suggests maybe ancient standing stones, although they have sharp edges 0 maybe they are made of very strong stone, and whoever carved them used dragon teeth or something. I love the hat that one of them has, like a mushroom almost. Another has falledn, again making it look perhaps old.

The tiny tree in the foreground suggests the stones are very large.

Here in Ontario (Canada) we have Niagara Falls, but that does not have standing stones.

So this is a picture that invites the viewer to tell a story, and i think that is one of the best sorts of art.

The composition here is strong - i tried fliping the picture left to right and nope, it has to be this way round, that's a sign of a good composition. The framing between the Bottomless Pit of Wet Despair and the rock on the left works well, and the background hill and light draws the eye.

A suggestion, though - there’s little or no black in the image - maybe it was made lighter in Photoshop with Levels? - but i tried using Curves to deepen the shadows without affecting the midtones or highlights, and maybe it looks stronger. But it is subjective, it also looks a little less dreamy.

It might also be worth considering a border, because of the three :deviantart: DeviantArt themes put back, white, or green, right next to the picture, which might affect perception. But only a suggestion.

Have you considered selling posters or prints or room-sized wallpapers? :) Because its a fabulous piece.
