So. Working on anatomy and changed shading completely, please let me know what you think!
This is a huge breakthrough for me, had art block/angst all week really. Also life is getting me down, so I thought I would reflect that in a piece.

Vision: the visuall aspect of this is beautifull! although to bad you didn't do anything with the background, imagine what you could've done if you added a background. agreed that this is however very symbolistic (correct word?) seeing as it's her darker side taking hold. so i must admit that in this case it's rather appropriate. the lines are all fine apart from the mane that goes closer to the sunlight. due to the contrast from white to black it looks a lot more cartoonic. this is however only a minor thing.

Originality: even though the concept of nightmare moon and luna has been done a few times already it's still very original. luna getting pulled into darkness while reaching out to the light is definatly somethng i haven't seen before. not to mention the great magic lighting effects, usually you'll see the traditional show's style. most effect were rather original. of course this is also a fanbased work so it's not original in that sense but i'll ignore that.

Technique: your technique on the magic on the lower part of your work really is amazing, i'm amazed on how smooth it looks. i also like the technique on the wings, seeing the double layers. and i must admite that the lighting that drops in has some nice subtle beams in it. great job on that stuff O.o

Impact: well since i saw it i definatly wanted to see it up close so that was already part of the impact. the emotional part in this also plays a big role...
the whole thing is rather symbolic and all in all i can't say that much about the impact. to me i was definatly impressed but not extremely impressed :/

(none of this is meant to offend you in any way)
