There comes a point in your life when you can no longer make excuses. I've reached that point
I've been pretty good in the last two years by keeping my nail polish count to under 20.
and now I've decided to reduce that further. three metallics two or three nudes, a red, a white , a dark and another random color, or color of the year. in this case green.
Im keeping the bunch I have now, but I will be trying to downsize until i only buy a total of 4 per year.
And heres the other point of growing up, throwing things away when they expire. even if you like them.
As some of you may know, nail polish has an expiration date, thats right,
your favorite polish will get old, and will need to be tossed. if not your running some risks, since its chemicals. and youll notice that after a year it doesnt apply the same any more, nor does it last as long. sometimes chipping immediately after it dries.
so thats that. currently i have a bunch of tiny bottles of ciate from a sephora kit i bought and about 6 full size butter london polishes. i do admit i have a bottle of a dark opi color, and 4 julep colors. the oldest color in the kit and thus next to be tossed is the essie glitter top coats, those expire in a couple of months literally. and then the opi color goes bad in like july.
Ill miss them. But ive decided to grow up and limit myself. Im a creative individual but i think i can manage without all those colors.
