Description
Not totally done yet, but there's not much left to do so I wanted to post a few photos
I apologize for the bad quality but they were taken with my iPhone (and in not the best lighting).
This is my real life Book of Zamorak (from the game RuneScape). It was hand sewn & bound in lambskin (I didn't just cover an old book). All of the pages were cut to size and hand dyed in tea/coffee/balsamic vinegar.. although you can't really see the pages in the above photos
But they look pretty cool, they have an old/dirty/waterlogged look to them.
I have spent about 15 hours on this project so far. The dyeing alone took something like 9 hours.
Left to do:
- Bookmark (thinking of using the cord you see)
- Possibly make a charm for the bookmark
- Possibly add closures
- Decide on some endsheets
- Glue the pages into the cover (they're not actually glued in)
- Possibly write in the book (describe and create diagrams for Zamorak armour, spells, etc.)
EDIT: Sorry about the watermarks but I didn't want anyone submitting this to the player's gallery or anything
