Oh, The Goon. I long for a TV series or maybe even a movie about him. :fingerscrossed:
You did right, nonmaefox. You did right.

Thanks man :) Sooner or later there will be some Goon related stuff goin' on.

The trailer from a few years back is really promising, and they won some fund money for preproduction, on kickstarter.

Yeah... but let's pray that it will be something worthy of "The Goon" and its wacky mythology, and not some Hollywood God-awful garbage. "The Goon" deserves better than to be the next "The Green Lantern" or "Wrath of the Titans".

Nah man it'll be in good hands. Blur studios and David Fincher know their jobs. Although I wouldn't count on it being a huge success based on the lack of market on cgi films for mature viewers. the only thing I can promise is, that I'll go see it, when it comes out :D

Look, as a guy who greatly adimres the character The Goon, by Dark Horse... I honestly think there's something wrong with someone with the fame and reputation of David Fincher getting involved and making this a Kickstarter project. This, to me, is like if he were not taking this project seriously enough: if he were, he would have called his buddy Scott Rudin (who I'm not very fond of) and this project would have been concluded by now. I honestly think they are underestimating the character and his universe: I understand it's an indie comic... but so was "Kick Ass".

You might be right. But I think things are not that easy. Even if Fincher is a big name who did some great films, a feature length animation film is a lot of money to make. A lot of big name directors had trouble making films they were actually really passionate about. So I'm not sure if taking the project seriously is the case.  Although I guess your right in a way, doing a Kickstarter is a bit like being a beggar in the doors of Hollywood. And if I was Fincher I wouldn't do that

I think it would be better if they adapted the comics into an animated television serial, on Fox, FX, Adult Swim or maybe even HBO. And then, it would could a film. That's what I think.

I like the mood this sets! And the way you portrayed the characters.

I can't wait for that movie to come out, I hope they can overcome their production probs (last time i checked was months ago, so i got no idea)

I don't know man. The way I see it now, there might never be a full length movie. I think they should make a kickstarter to finance the film :D

Your probably right, I only found it throught following Blur(one of the best animation groups I have ever seen)I never met anyone else who heard of it otherwise. I wish they had a better way of announcing themself
