Feature Me and I'll Feature You!

Wed Jul 22, 2015, 3:43 PM

My commissions have been open for about two months now and I haven't received any orders. I need to get myself noticed!

9tailsfoxyfoxy inspired me to request features. If you would like to be featured on my profile page and in my journal, I simply ask the same of you. Feature me and my artwork in a journal, send me the link, and I'll do the same for you. I would appreciate if you mention that I'm open for commissions!

My feature will resemble yours; show more of my artwork, and I'll show more of yours!

The feature I will write will look something like this:

NoelleMBrooks has just graduated from college and is making her debut as a freelance artist. Her commissions are open and she is ready to take orders! Check out her commission information: Noelle M. Brooks Commissions: Open

Noelle is an introverted artist that expresses herself through her artwork. She creates art because it enables her to express her inner perceptions and emotions in a natural way. Her works focus heavily on human emotion, but often feature animals as helpless martyrs as they represent silence, strength, and beauty. She experiments greatly and creates artwork in several different media and various different styles.

Check out some of my favorite pieces below:

Artist Feature: 9TailsFoxyFoxy

9tailsfoxyfoxy is drawing free busts for those who help advertise her artwork:  Free Requests For You

I have been watching this deviant for some time as I enjoy her style of artwork.

Her works convey a strong sense of action as they are dynamic and full of life. She has an excellent sense of color as she uses many vibrant and saturated hues. Her pieces also reek with emotion and convey a strong central message. I thoroughly enjoy this artist's work.

Check out some of my favorite pieces below:

Tomorrow, June 29th, is my birthday!

I'll be...23 I believe. Gosh, I really don't feel like I'm that old.

I can't believe my birthday's here already as it still feels like May to me. June went by so quickly,  which makes me a little sad since it's my favorite month. The days just seem to keep flying by.

25% Off Commission Sale

In celebration of my birthday, I will be holding a 25% Off Sale on my Commission Prices.

Anyone who orders a commission from me between now and July will receive a 25% discount. That means there are three days to receive the discount: June 28th, 29th, and 30th!

Please let me know if you have any questions!

Freelance Artist Debut!

Sat Jun 20, 2015, 1:45 AM

Hey everyone! I've never really released a journal before, but that will all change as I am incredibly excited to debut as a full-time freelance artist!

I have graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Studio Art and have begun my career as a freelance artist. Due to this major life change, I have completely re-branded my presence in several different ways including here on DeviantArt.

USERNAME

I have changed my username from "hyperwires" to the much-more-professional "NoelleMBrooks" and have done the same on Facebook, Twitter, Twitch, Pinterest, and all my other social media websites. Having my actual name on my accounts will make it easier for my fans to find my artwork and will give me a much more professional appearance.

LOGO

To match the name change, I also changed my avatar/icon. I now have an official logo! It took me days to design and it changed so drastically, but I've really come to love it's simplistic look. I decided it should include a fox somehow since they're my absolute favorite animals and I'm known for my attachment to them. I've plastered this thing over everything I own.

WEBSITE

After years and years and years of using free web-hosting sites, I have finally purchased my own domain and now have an official website at noellembrooks.com. Please check out my website if you are interested in my work. I post artwork, photography, blogs, and even creative writing! It also came with the professional email: noelle@noellembrooks.com.

COMMISSIONS

For the first time ever, I have opened my commissions. Because I am now  a freelance artist, making art is now my job and I can work with you to create artwork quickly that suits your needs and budget. Please send me a note or an email to noelle@noellembrooks.com if you are interested in commissioning me!

VIDEOs

Another first for me, I'm planning on creating time-lapse videos of my art creation process and even live-streaming while I'm creating art. I'm super nervous, but I'm also excited. I've set up a YouTube and a Twitch account and have bought a bunch of video-recording supplies. I even have a giant green screen!

Check out my Twitch live-streaming layout. I'm so excited about it!

PROFILE

I am super excited to finally have a snazzy profile page here on DeviantArt. I spent days trying to figure out how to use DeviantArt's coding system and I am incredibly pleased with what I have created. Let me know what you think and please let me know if you find any errors!

I would like to give a huge shout-out to SimplySilent as I used many of her tutorials and resources in order to get my profile set up the way I wanted. It would not have been possible without her resources!

JOURNAL

Lastly, I should be using my DeviantArt Journal from now on. Like I mentioned, I've never really used it before even though I've been on DeviantArt for 7 years! I'll be using the Journal more to keep you updated with my Commission Status, artwork for sale, updates, and my videos and live-streaming.

I'm so hyped! I've been super busy getting everything set up and I really hope that my career will pick up.

Please don't hesitate to contact me. I'd love to hear from you!
