I am proud to announce another custom Mattel Cher creation. Last year, I had the great pleasure of creating Mattel's Cher dolls into custom repaints, namely, the Half-breed Cher and the Purple Gown Bob Mackie Cher.

This time, I'm pleased to share my latest Cher - "If I Could Turn Back Time", based on her music video of that song. As with all my repaints, no details have been spared.

So , as I always do, I completely removed factory facial painting and hand painted the doll to create a faithful replica of Cher's features particularly inspired by her look in her 1980s music video "If I Could Turn Back Time".

The doll's hair has been also been meticulosuly reworked with cut and style. I also delicatley paint enhanced the hair line for added realism.

The inset photo on the bottom middle shows the doll as it looked originally before repainting.

Repaint is a new form of pop art, wherein the doll's face is treated like a three dimensional canvas, with the added challenge of painting within a very small area . Since dolls are basically miniature pieces, brush strokes and shading have to be very controlled and precise.
