Syntax Highlighter Code Snippet

Fri Sep 5, 2014, 10:40 AM

YOU MAY USE THIS AND UPLOAD THEM INTO YOUR CUSTOM JOURNALS.
NO CREDIT/PERMISSION NEEDED.

This is based on the Monokai theme from Notepad ++. Use this manual syntax highlighter to share your code. Live example shown below.

Because of deviantART's brand new #taggingsystem, I had to make more adjustments.

code:before{
background:#475C4D;
content:'Code:';
color:#FFF;
display:block;
font:700 14px/1.5em 'Verdana', sans-serif;
margin:-4px -12px 8px;
padding:4px 3px 4px 14px;
}

code{
background:#2A211C;
color:#666;
display:block;
line-height:1.25;
padding:4px 12px;
}

code strong, code b, code strong a.discoverytag, code b a.discoverytag{
color:#E5C138;
font-weight:normal;
}

code i, code em, code i a.discoverytag, code em a.discoverytag{
color:#0080ff;
font-style:normal;
}

code u, code u a.discoverytag{
color:#DF0071;
text-decoration:none;
}

code a.discoverytag{
font-weight:normal !important;
font-family:inherit !important;
cursor:default !important;
}

Bolding the text gives you the yellow font.
Italicising the text gives you the blue font.
Underlining the text gives you the pink font.

There is no set way to use this. The way I use it is just an example.
