Ha ha, very true. It's best when you're roleplaying, for the longest time two of :iconquiverrains: and I's characters liked each other but we had other plans and totally ignored it. But they're together now... after a long time NatsuLaugh

I am just an observer chronicling the world as the characters live it....and possibly their nightmares or wacked out dreams.

Truer words have never been spoken,
Sometimes when I get an idea, I see it like a movie in my head, and I have literally lost sleep because it just kept going, and I needed to know what happened next

So true! I think one of my characters just summed up the situation once by saying: "You're our cameraperson!" (That was courtesy of Fuyumi, the blondie that is currently my icon). It's especially apparent when your OCs don't tell you things, and you find out about them a long time after they happened!

Lol yeah there's always a "but..." somewhere. I actuallyget worried when I can't access my OCs cuz it feels like they've wandered off and left me. One reason why I think I'm just an observer or chronicler is because if I made these people up then I could always find them and plan them out instead of them hiding, leaving, or being secretive and throwing me curveballs. Ya know what I mean?

I have 3 secretive, one innocent chatterbox, and one violent bitch that refuses to talk to me unless I RP with her.

Agreed. Out of my main OCs, only one is super-talkative... the rest range from reasonably open to an enigma (and then there's one who doesn't talk as a matter of course, as she is a nonverbal autistic. Thankfully I have her sisters to explain things)

Wow that's a complicated OC. One of my secretive ones is actually quite talkative but not of her personal things. When I deal with her I think "realtor" or "lawyer". I know very little about her so she is only mentioned in other bios until I get enough info on her for her own.

I'm kinda familiar with her because I'm autistic myself (and she has some of my traits), but I'm pretty much verbal... But yeah, she has her sisters (who are both non-autistic), which helps me out.

That must be a fun chara to deal with... And yeah, there's one character I knew very little about because she was so closed-up about her past. It's only recently she's opened up (maybe because she trusts me more?).

That's interesting. I'm either ADD or ADHD, can never remember which, it runs on my mom's side and my siblings have it too.

I actually don't deal with her that much. Mostly her brother, I think he might be her twin, or this boy he found. The closed up one is Jake. Alex found him and that's all he'll say on the matter.

My character Florence (the pink-haired girl in my icon) started in the story as nervous and clingy. After a few years, she became a puckish, hyperactive tomboy. I never planned on it at all.
My character Opus one day decided to sport a pompadour hairstyle. I wasn't sure why, but he ended up looking great!
I had planned to make my character Mrs. Jovian so sweet and nice it drove the rest of the cast insane. She gradually evolved to be a bit two-faced, stuck-up, and out of touch, and she's actually much funnier and more realistic that way. :D
Another character of mine, Viktor Petrov, suddenly became diagnosed with OCD at one point. He also lost weight and changed the type of shoes he prefers around the same time. Never planned any of this. :D
I love it what they do that. :D

This is incredibly true! Readers often say "I can't wait to see what happens next!"
and I always reply "Me too!" because I have absolutely no idea what's going on,
it's my characters that do. Thank you for making this!

There is not a stamp for opposite situation?
On one of my story, I planned a thing happening to one of my characters in the second part (I can't tell which because is spoiler)
And it happened exactly according with my plans.
The same situation happens with all story I create.
Changement happens when I think what I planned before is wrong or not well though, but I'm still the leader.

You're lucky. I never know what is going on stories. Even if I do a detailed brainstorm that is almost a rough draft in itself when I sit down to actually write it out new characters walk in or one character just decides that he wants an new entire chapter to himself. And I'm left going "WTF IS HAPPENING!? HOW AM I TO BRIDGE THIS BACK TOGETHER! ?"

Haha, yes.  Because of this, it's actually kind of hard for me to know ahead of time which characters are going to be my main characters because I'm usually wrong because in working with them, some of them just kind of naturally become important, and some just don't no matter how much I try to make them important.

This is so true! For my characters, I originally planned for one to die from disease, but she said "Nope, this way!" I planned to end the story at her death, but again.. they said "Nope. You will end it when we say." And jeez, one of my characters, Veli; he made a surprise appearance, when I never even planned for him to be there.
