2017 Winter Vacation
On the airplane on the way from Tokyo to Kansas, Koh and I spent most of the time watching movies and playing video games. At that time, Koh loved playing Kirby Fighters on 3DS, so he was playing that almost the whole time.
When we arrived at the airport, Grandpa picked us up and we went straight to their house.
When we got there, Koh and I ate cereal, because we didn’t like the airplane food very much. Then we fell asleep in less than an hour, because we were jet-lagged.
The next morning on Christmas, Milo and Koh woke up before me. After we ate breakfast and Uncle Chris and Uncle Robert arrived, we started opening our presents. I got a remote controlled race car and Gundam figures, and Milo got toy laser guns. Koh, Milo, and I had a lot of fun playing with Milos’ toy guns.
Uncle Chris got four puzzles for Christmas; one with birds, one with candy, one with the Eiffel Tower, and an anime puzzle called One Piece, which was my favorite one. The Eiffel Tower puzzle was the most difficult, because the pieces were only in black and white. I think it took about six hours for several people to finish. We did the puzzles in the music room and shut the doors, so the cats wouldn’t bother us.
Other than playing video games, we played card games, like Splendor with Grandma, and Dragon Wood with Hillary.
Every Sunday morning, we ate brunch at a restaurant called First Watch, which uncle Chris treated us to. I ate pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, and so on.
Another day, Koh and I had an art lesson with Dad’s old art teacher. We drew and painted snow owls, which turned out very well, and I was very satisfied with them.
Another day, Mom, Dad, Grandpa, Uncle Chris, Hillary, Koh, and I went to see Star Wars the Last Jedi at the movie theater. I liked the movie very much. After the movie, we ate butter burgers close by.
