What happens to a dream deferred....

or an idea that just didn't cut it...

it cracks broken and useless

It is really hard to break light bulbs... well to break them delicate... everyone was asleep and I was smashing glass...

There is a white dust inside there bulbs, almost like flower, does anyone know what it is...
This evening I went around swapping out the light bulbs above for florescent lights... because I hadn't saved enough duds... Now we are more energy efficient :w00t:

The white dust in the light bulbs is the coating that companies put on the inside of the bulbs to make it translucent white, instead of clear. Its purpose is to distribute the light more evenly and limit refraction from the glass.

nice concept! though i think this picture would look a lot more powerful with maybe a higher contrast (more blacks and more whites) and slighty sharper. but that's my opinion of course :aww:

nice one! :)

A great idea behind this piece - all to often I see pieces without any meaning at all, but it really can make a picture complete. :)

Plus you have the added benefit of being more energy efficient and the fun of breaking stuff - why don't I think of these things?

Thank you very much, and you can, just think of the symbology behind things... :)

Lovely shot!
I like the dust, I'm guessing that's little glass shards, from where you are breaking the glass.
