the Princess by niteangel the Princess by niteangel
A collaboration with Plangdon2 [link] (nice to work with you again)

Scene made by me, using 3DS, Bryce and Photoshop; girl painted by Plangdon2 with my retouches. The Princess's shadow is painted by me too. Original size: 4800 x 3600, and the zoom-in girl image will be posted later.

Sorry, I am bad at realistic modeling and rendering. Please tell me how to do better.

Zoom-in version! [link]

You should cite your sources, there is an image like this that was posted on [link] over a year ago, only difference is she was holding a red scarf. I believe it was called red scarlet or something similar.

The Glow reminds of Princess Galadriel in LOTR : Fellowship of the ring

Excellent work
I'd like to see the same thing from another angle as well...

This is so beautiful, I love fantasy pictures where the fair maiden is looking off into the distance pondering the works of the universe. Flowing gowns in exotic places (that look vaguely similar to castles or ruins of ancient civilization) Those kind of pictures fascinate me. This is a beautiful picture! :) (Smile)

This is a different version of the image than Plangdon has up.... I think it looks very good, although the rear wall and that first pillar could really use some more detail.

I don't like the girl..too fuzzy and the style looks too different from the bg..which btw is amazing. Looks very real and the shadows are just right.

Yeah, I don't quite like the pillars, and everything seems too colossal as compared to the princess but I guess she must be ultra-wealthy and I guess it must BE a fantasy world. I like the lighting though, and haze that gives this depth. Good work!

yes edit a little more you need to fix the pillars because they look funny. add like a pattern or something in there look @ some roman architecture to give you an idea.

The pillars are pretty good nightangel. The only thing thats bothering me tho is how much the dress kinda glows.

Good idea putting this in the fantasy section, 'cause it certainly looks like a fantasy/day dream.

Good work! :D (Big Grin)

The overall image and composition looks pretty good but for pillars of that size they look really too undetailed. When you don't want to model the detail your ognna have to make it up with maps and I'd say a good combination of diffuse, specular and bump maps would make everything come alive in this image. Because even though the pillars are huge you don't get a good sense of scale on them compared to anything else and having them broken up into chunks with dirt and different settings would make the image alot more alive. And nothing in life is ever that clean...just a thought.
