Stories, dressup games (well, until Flash dies, that is), and historical fashion are my jam. I might not look like the type, but I collect traditional Norwegian wooden bowls.

Let's establish some ground rules when it comes to my games.
1. You can post screenshots or draw the outfits you see in my games, as long as you credit me in the description of your deviation.
2. Regarding adoptables, you are allowed to make adoptables with my games, but you can't demand payment for them. You should not get paid for posting screenshots from games you didn't make, it's just straight-up scamming.
3. You can make characters with my games, but I think it would be best if you try to modify them a little bit, not necessarily to avoid essentially ripping me off, but rather because if you modify them, you make your character more unique rather than just something lazy and unoriginal you made in a dressup game.

So, the death of Flash

I've been trying to be optimistic and saying to myself "I can still finish all these games before 2020", but I think it's time to face reality and realise I won't be able to finish most of the games I started. Why? Because it's too short time, and there's a little something called cancer fatigue. Basically, when you go through chemotherapy, like I did, it really takes a toll on your body. So much so that you essentially have a mild, temporary version of chronic fatigue syndrome afterwards. So, I have very little energy to work on anything at the moment.
Then there's the computer problems I've been having, which don't make things any easier. My art computer, the one I made all my dressup games on, is completely broken. The hard drive got corrupted, and the computer is now scrap metal. I had to pay a hefty sum to get a PC expert to fish out all my files from the broken computer, so I have the files, but the thing is that I don't have Flash CS3 on any other computer, so that needs to somehow be installed. Then there was my gaming computer, which also got pretty broken, so I had to settle for my mum's 7 year old school computer which has an expired Windows license and is all in all pretty crap.

I haven't worked on any games since before Christmas, before my art computer broke, and now I think it's too late to finish most of them.
Therefore, I've decided that I'm going to upload all the unfinished games I have now, and I will most likely finish them after Flash has officially died, but as long as you still have Flash player on your computer, playing these games will still be possible if I put them all up for download from a dropbox or something like that. Sound good?

I've been wondering, have you tried looking for someone to help with your games? If you ask in the deviantart forums, perhaps you can find someone who can program your games while you focus on the artwork.

I have, but the problem is that nobody wants to help a random stranger without recieving payment, and I don't have any money to spare, and there's also the matter of time; a lot of people just don't have the time to teach other people these things. I've googled a lot about it, but haven't really found much of use. There's also my own time, of course. I'm on sick leave for the rest of the year at least, so I have plenty of time, but I'm also working on a novel and several webcomics, and learning a new programming language would be quite time-consuming. We'll see what happens.

Do you mind if I ask you something about Norway and the Inuit?
Niobesnuppa Featured By Owner May 10, 2019   Digital Artist
Sure, go ahead.

I read a Norwegian book(the English translation) called "The Kidnapping" or something along the lines. It's the story of Osuko and Poq, Inuit lovers and fiances who are kidnapped by evil Norwegians and imprisoned. Everyone in 1500's Norway sees them as subhuman barbarians and nothing more. Everyone except Christine, a kind teenage girl who can see that they are humans just like everyone else. She knows that exploitation and kidnapping of indigenous peoples is wrong and wants to help them escape however she can.

Ring a bell?

No, it doesn't. Honestly, I'm not sure why they chose Norway as a setting anyway, since Norway was a really poor country made up of mostly farmers in the 1500's. We didn't have any colonies or anything, so it seems a bit strange that everyone here would have such a colonial mindset and view them as subhuman, but I haven't read the book, so I can't really judge. If they're Inuits from Greenland, it would make more sense for them to be kidnapped by Danish people than Norwegians, since Denmark was the colonial power that owned both Greenland and Norway, while Norway was just another colony.

Hi! I don't know if you'll read this, but I just wanted to thank you for being one of my biggest inspirations. The way you talk about folklore gave me the push I needed to get started on my webcomic idea (also about folkore and local legends).

So seriously, thank you.
