Orion Pax - Traditional Art Commission

I was commissioned to illustrate a portrait of Orion Pax, the young character who would become Optimus Prime, from the original Transformers TV series. It was to be delivered at TFcon Toronto 2022, where it would be signed by actor Laurie Faso, who performed the voice for this character on the show. The artwork was made using watercolor paint and colored pencil on cold-press illustration board. Both the client and Mr. Faso were impressed!

 

I scanned the artwork before handing it off to its new owner but the image file came out a bit blurry. I tried to fix it as best as I could by tweaking things in Photoshop, but at any rate, these paintings always look way better in person than they ever look on a screen.
