94th Valhalla - Command Carrier 1 by niner9 94th Valhalla - Command Carrier 1 by niner9
At the time of the Damocles Gulf Crusade the 94th Valhallan was entirely an infantry regiment. With the exception of the few Sentinels for picketing and screening, the regiment was formed entirely of infantry companies. As such they lacked any heavier armor - heavier armor it would desperately need if the Imperium was to ever launch another assault into the Tau's territory. After the initial withdrawal several dozen guard regiments were left abandoned, some armored, some infantry, a handful airborne. Those armored regiments that did not hand themselves over to the Tau were soon picked apart by those guardsmen who did, as the tanks they possessed were more valuable to deserters than their loyalty to their kin. One of these unfortunate regiments was the Cadian 501st Armored, from which almost all of the 94th's tanks were procured. While a relatively small number, the 94th looted away more tanks than any of the other deserter regiments, and has at any given time several dozen operational, though not necessarily reliable. Most of the regiments other vehicles, such as Chimeras, bear the unit markings of a dozen different regiments, some from standard guard units, some from elite outfits. Their command chimera was stolen by a regiment from Ryza and has had the space marine loyalist markings defaced.

I'm afraid I must contradict the earlier commenter. Whilst the finish on the snow is rather lovely and it does have a great frosty appearance, its placement on the armour is rather random. I suggest looking at images of actual tanks in the snow: [link]

I found that if you slop some 'ardcoat on top of modelling snow it gets a nice ice effect
