I loved your Leonard Nimoy work.  I thought it was very fitting and a terrific send off for a wonderful actor, who I actually met once..your works have a bit of wimsy and a delicate approach which is fresh and very good..I only hope that my eventual works are half as good!  May I ask a question?  How did you get through the immediate "nervousness" of showing your works on dA??Was it a great joy to find your art to be readily accepted an were there many helpful hints from other artists??  I guess Ive always thought about disappointing viewers, so, I had almost given up, but I didn't like that and that is when I discovered dA!!

Hello Mark,
I'm really happy you like my take on Nimoy's departure, and my other art as well. :aww:

Truth is, I had to completely change my personality and my way of thinking to do art as my main job. I realized I didn't want to wake up being 80 years old and wondering what would have happened. I wanted to make it happen instead.
I started from our childhood tales and cartoons: tales were born to teach children how to face life, so I started to live like a wanna-be-hero of those tales: improve, be stubborn,  be positive, never ever give up hope.
Well, in the end it darn worked, pretty much like the yellow brick road to Oz! :D
Very bad times happened, but that's part of the adventure and I became more confident and stronger each time.

Yes, people may not like your work at first. That's just means there's room for improving (or that's not the designed audience for your kind of project). But the one and only person who can stop you, it's you. So if you never give up, only time separates you from your goal.
Wish you best! :D

nime080,
Hi and thanx for the note.  I had almost given up and my dad didn't want me to be a'starving artist',lol  So I went on with my life, did what I did and settled for less.  Now, years later Ive decided that this is for me and I don't want to surrender.  I appreciate your support.  I tend to 'put off' my projects, and that is a main challenge for me and my main 'change'.  Ive found out that the library here can scal and send a jpeg to any address I want, so Im working on a couple of pieces that I want to download onto dA and maybe another site by end of August!! Lets both 'keep the flags flying' and never give up!
your Friend,
Makor359/Mark
