This quote reminds me of a song by Natalie Grant that says:
“There's no such thing as perfect people There's no such thing as a perfect life So come as you are, broken and scarred Lift up your heart and be amazed And be changed by a perfect God”

A quote from a video called: Why I Hate Religion, But Love Jesus.
It’s a poem written to highlight the difference between Jesus and false religion.
A special thanks to ~Twilightlover2007 who showed me the video
(I don't agree with the first line in the video: "Jesus came to abolish religion", because Jesus came to give us a clear view of 'religion' since it took a wrong path in ancient time ^^. Christianity is a religion that is based in a close relationship with our savior)
Some of my other stamps:
Romans 3:32 For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
Of course, by logic it also covers all of humanity, because all humans are in the same general situation: we are a broken species, profoundly so! Just look at what we humans do to eachother: our behavior as a species is truly horrible!
* im broken i guess
If you are referring to atheists, you are not only offending me, but your God as well.
If you are not, then I am sorry and I'll remove my comment
I didn’t make the quote, but it's referring to everyone (especially those interested in going to church).
Most people go to church looking for a closer encounter with God (not that I believe it’s the only place we can achieve that), we don’t go to church because we are complete, or perfect, we go because we accept we are not, and we want to be perfected, and completed by God (1 Peter 5:10).
There’s a bible verse that says:
“When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance” ~ Mark 2:17
The church is full of sinners, full of “works in progress”, people that want to be whole again, that’s why a church is a ‘hospital for the broken’. (Or it should be, since there are churches that are sadly feigning to be the opposite).
I hope that explains it better o.o (:
That's what Christ came to fix, or to enable the repair of: look at human treatment of other humans- we are a profoundly messed-up species in dire need of guidence in treatment of others!
and yeah, the truth can fucking hurt
and i do think before i say, by your comment i can say that you dont do the same
If you don't feel the love of God through the people of a church then they have a lot to learn.
Sadly nowadays there are few good churches out there, but they still exist.
But we christians don't go to church 'because of others' we go to church 'because of God'.
Have a nice day
and yeah, you may go because of God ,but most churches dont give a fuck if youre here because of your beliefs or because you got injured and that was the closest place where you though you could ask for help
and dont get me started on the oh so called "fearful of God" priests that rape like is nobodys fucking business
is corrupted as shit
“you dont have to go to the church to be a christian.
True. I never said the contrary.
“and yeah, you may go because of God ,but most churches dont give a fuck if youre here because of your beliefs or because you got injured and that was the closest place where you though you could ask for help”
There are churches that do care. In the church there are different kinds of people. All of them are a work in progress so there are still people that don’t reflect Jesus’ character, but others do. It’s our duty as brothers and sisters in Christ to be of help for those that still don’t reflect Jesus’ character.
I don’t feel discouraged by that…that’s life, it happens, and not only in churches.
and dont get me started on the oh so called "fearful of God" priests that rape like is nobodys fucking business is corrupted as shit
Yes, corruption is everywhere. Not only in the church (where it shouldn’t be). I don’t blame a whole church, or all churches, or all Christians (or non-christians) for the sins of an individual.
I mean if it helped you cool but it hasn't helped me.
