LaF Chin01: LaFemme gets a touch of the Orient...

Description

To improve the recent 'Sky Island' scene, I needed some well-dressed folk. The locals could be V3/V4 wearing conforming Asian-ish gowns / dresses trawled from my sprawling archives and the usual freebie sites, but the only suitable outfits for LaF seem to be 'Dynamic'.

D'uh, to put it politely, I've had *scant* success with Poser 'Dynamic' clothing. Yes, yes, wondrous in theory, but 'breaks-bad' whenever I've tried to use it...

Okay, need a 'Plan_B'...

I vaguely remembered picking up some budget 'EvilInnocence' Crossdresser4 licences in their sale last year to supplement a trawl of freebies. Installed, but never used: What had I ? Ah, both V4 and LaF !
Well, that opened possibilities...

Searching my SCG archive yielded a 'Classic' Chinese-style dress for V4/A4 by Ayane Matrix
sharecg.com/v/38515/Poser/Chin…

The dress was a PP2, with handles for the hem. Via XD's surprisingly friendly UI, I located the PP2, ticked likely options, intoned, '**CONVERT !!**'.
Magic ensued, a CR2 emerged. Using 'add library', I loaded it to Poser, conformed to LaF.

There was some poke-through. I hid LaF's tum, scaled various parts of the dress until it was a fair fit. Just like tweaking Classic P4 stuff !!

A similar hunt through Rendo' found 'trad' sandals by 'teknology3D'

These props' default size was easily big enough for a She-Ork but, variously scaled, parented well to LaF's feet.

Similarly, a nice 'Geisha-ish' wig by Fujiko came from SCG.

As a PP2 prop rather than a 'hairpiece', it just needed scaling and parenting for a fair fit.

Just one more thing: LaF's unmistakably 'Round Eyed' Western face.

Rendo' supplied a freebie 'Geisha Face' texture for V4 by Adam Thwaites AKA 'MOST-DC'.

Download was a PSD, but I converted it to JPG with free Irfan View. In Poser's 'Material Room', I deleted LaF 'Skin/Head' complex 'layered' nodes, applied the simple mapped texture. Though I could have trimmed this to 'just the face', it works okay as-is. Perhaps next time...

The 'wig' was complex enough to crash my now-ageing twin GPU cards on their 'fastest' Superfly setting: I reduced my 'Vols + Buckets' from that 1024 to 512, which ran okay...

If I've the energy, I'll modify the mapped texture to 'just the face', and hunt out a complementary 'Belt With Big Back Bow' I noticed recently...
