I remember that outfit too! I like it a lot! Doesn't it seem that Sarah was influenced by the 4th Doctor's colorful and unusual fashion sense, when she was traveling with him?
With the 3rd Doctor, she wore more formal looking suits or jacket/skirt outfits.
Also, I think Sarah looked cuter when she grew her hair longer, and looked younger too!
(Though she might have gone a little too young with the childish striped overalls that we all remember for her last episode- but that look was a favorite too).
